Well i've been give 2months supply so far, and they told me on the phone, to ring up for more supplies once I've run out , they just haven't given me any information as to how long I will be onit.. :).... congrats fezzle!!

started using my clearblue advance opk yesterday, and have a few questions for you :)

Today I had a flashing smiley which indicates high fertility, so I decided to use a cheapo dip stick opk, and there's a faint line on it making it negative, I was just wondering if that's normal at this point, if I was just testing with cheapo's I would of said negative and properly wouldn't be to bothered if we didn't b'd!!

Also what line on the clearblue test is the control/testing line, isit the same as cheap opk's? (I.e the bottom line)

If I get a positive opk earlier than cycle day 14,(i'm only cycle day 11) it will be very out of the norm, I usually receive my positive opk anywhere between cycle day 14-18 (using cheapies)

Oh more thing! LOL,
Should I b'd every other day and wait for my peak to bd every day?!
 
The CB one measures both the oestrogen surge (flashing smiley) and then the LH surge (solid smiley), so the flashing smiley is showing that your oestrogen is rising. The cheapies just measure LH, so they won't look positive until you get closer to the solid smiley.

With the lines on the CB sticks, you can't use them like the cheapies- they mean different things. When I would get my peak, my lines would be the same colour though. It varied a bit but overall, the more they got to be the same colour, the closer I seemed to be to ovulating.

We would start BDing EOD once I got the flashing smilies, and attempt every day once it was solid (though sometimes still just managed EOD then too).

I sometimes had 10 days of flashing smileys before getting my solid, but I have PCOS so not a good example! If you have a normal cycle, it should be coming in a few days! Happy BDing!

Thanks fezzle! That cleared that up! :D... I hope I don't have flashing smilies for long, although I haven't got PCOS, my body can be wacky at times... and i'm currently on a break from clomid so don't no what to expect this month ... if you don't mind me asking.. I was just wondering, how long you were ttc before getting your bfp on the trial?.. and how long had you been on the trial :flower:.. i'm just looking for a bit of hope because I've been at this whole ttc thing for a while! and feel as tho it will never happen, and the failed clomid cycles were a big kick in the teeth! .. just hope I get a miracle before xmas!! X
 
I got pregnant on my 15th cycle after going of the pill in July 2013. But, I don't think I ovulated for at least the first 8 of those cycles, possibly more! I didn't get real periods until I started 1000mg of Metformin in April 2014, and even then my cycles were really irregular with a lot of spotting around ovulation and/or throughout the TWW. I got my BFP on my first Clomid cycle, which was my 3rd cycle on the CB trial.
 
Sadly I have not conceived on the CB trial, I am on cycle 2 and will soon be returning all the stuff I haven't used.

I'm not to hopeful tbh, because all else have failed for me, but I can't help but want it even more, and to keep trying.. ttc is so hard! :(...i'm off to see a specialist after xmas, so hopefully something good will come out of that :) .. but for now i'm praying for a miracle to happen!..
 
For this next cycle...I am doing nothing, my thermometer has been rejected and I am using no opks this month either, going with the flow this month.
 
I actually decided to take time off.. but OH asked if we could try once more this month, and then take a break.. so that's the plan, ..I feel like i'm letting OH down although he reassures me that's not the case, and we will have a bby, it's just sad every month when I have to tell him it's not "the" month :'(
