these cramps havnt stopped but they have started to ease though im still getting pains in my womb every now and then and even aches going up the sides of my vagina. But the main thing that still leads me to think im pregnant is my period, my periods are normally fairly regular and came at about the right time but my first day was like the last day of my regular cycle then i stopped for anout 5 hours then on the 2nd day the same thing happened though i had only about 3 hours of bleeding(slightly heavier) then stopped. then the 3rd day only brown spotting then nothing all day and all night and today nothing at all. im usually very heavy for 4 days and there is lots of internal tissue etc. this time 1 small amount of internal tissue then brown blood.
im soooooooo confussed. but i spoke to an NHS nurse over the phone . (anyone can call) told her my symptoms and a nurse calls you back to discuss the possible problems. she told me that with all this and even with negative tests i could still be pregnant because in some people the HCG chemical (which is what is looked for in home tests and is the chemical which helps to develop the placenta) is developped late or slowly. so she said to try again in a week.
but for anyone still confused or in pain especaily lower back pain you should go to a walk in clinic who will be able to offer better tests and advice for misscarriages etc.

I'm very interested in finding out what the answer to this question is too. I have pregnancy symptoms, and took a test, but it came up negative. Two days later, I got my period, but it was very heavy. Now that it's gone, I still feel pregnant.....my boobs are very veiny, I have excessive saliva, and I feel a little nauseous, especially in the evenings.

YES it is very possible, i was almost 3 months pregnant with my daughter when i found out i was. I had a normal heavy period the first month and i "felt" pregnant but all the pregnancy tests were coming out negative! My bf told me i was losing it but i just couldnt help thinking i was! I finally gave up and when i missed my second period i went to the doctor and had a blood test done and it was confirmed i was 12 weeks pregnant which was a huge surprise to my bf!! Periods and negative tests are more common than people think! My best friend also had 2 heavy periods while she was pregnant so dont give up hope! Its possible! I've been 'feeling pregnant' for the last couple of weeks but have had two negative tests. My periods are always so regular but now I am over a week late. I have been spotting today so I stared thinking must not be pregnant...now I'm reading these posts and getting confused...

I was really surprised to read these answers. If it is true that you can be pregnant and still have negative tests and periods, what would be a serious sign that you are pregnant. I have been pregnant twice, and I KNEW both times, although the circumstances of both conceptions made chances of pregnancy almost impossible. This time I had more severe pregnancy symptoms than before, and I was absolutely positive that I was pregnant. I began to mentally plan how I would raise the child alone, as my bf made it clear he wants nothing to do with a child. All tests were negative, and then I got my period. It was very clotty and heavy, somewhat different than normal. I still feel EXTREMELY pregnant. Oh, I got a slight positive (finally) the morning prior to getting my period.
I had a heavy period but still feel sick. I did a pregnancy test last wk and it was negative. I feel really sick after i have eaten. I am so tired lately and try to exercise but the waves of tiredness come straight back. Good luck

It is COMPLETELY possible to have period-like bleeding during pregnancy. A lot of people say you can't have a PERIOD, but they only say that because they are using the most literal sense of the word (i.e. a period is shedding the lining of the uterus, etc. and this doesn't happen during pregnancy, etc. so there is no way you can have one). But you CAN have period-like bleeding that is even clotty and the pregnancy still be perfectly normal! (Although if you bleed at any time, especially after the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, you should ALWAYS contact your caregiver!) HOWEVER -- there is one difference that almost every woman who is pregnant with period-like bleeding agrees on: the bleeding DOES NOT SMELL like a period. It's different.

I got inseminated by my doctor on the 15th of February and we had regular sex after that ....On March 7th i got period like spotting and was little bit thick like periods for 2 days.... after i got 2 negeticve pregnancy test i considered that there was no pregnancy and started going out normally....but from yesterday again I am seeing brown spotting... and it is not looking like preiods.... I had all the symptoms that I could have possibly had. My breasts changed and became veiny and little bumps...and the areolas even got darker and bigger. I was throwing up constantly and still am. The thing is, I had so many negative tests that it wasn't funny! I started bleeding but not like normal...and bled for a day and then stopped...and then 2 days and stopped...but it was heavy. Then, I ended up going to the doc and getting a negative blood test. But I still feel pregnant. I don't understand what's going on. Oh yeah, and extreme tired, and headaches, and so much more that it's not even funny! I just don't know why I would still bleed and get negative results. I mean, it's not like I'm constantly thinking that I want to be, though I would be very happy if I was, I'm not making myself have these symptoms. I just don't get it is all. Reading this question did help me some with it all, but yeah...I don't know. I just hope I can find out for sure soon...Oh, I almost forgot, I have the weirdest cramps that I think I've ever had. Well since all the forums I've found with this same question have not returned to explain what their results were I'll come back after I figure out what's wrong in my case. I have a 2 yo son and with him I tested positive on 3 HPTs before I went to the doctor and it was confirmed. Now I am suddenly feeling the same way I did with him in my first couple months: Horrible naseau first thing when I wake up, and again randomly through the day when I smell or think of certain foods. My breasts are only minorly tender, nothing too noteworthy though. I have been tired for no particular reason. Very minor belly cramping, normally only when I lay down to go to bed at night. And emotional! Everything makes me cry. Half the time I feel like I'm having de ja vu from being pregnant with my son. I had my IUD removed on 22 Aug and that triggered my period 1 week early. The day my IUD was removed I started taking trivora, my PCM assured me it was safe to have intercourse without worrying about pregnancy the day I started the BC. Well since I had my period my DH and I waited to have sex until the first week of September, to allow plenty of time for ovulation to pass as well. On the 14th of Sep I had irregular bleeding which I had only ever experienced once before during my pregnancy with my son. The blood was light brown and the flow was very light the first day, and then it tappered off to spotting the following 2 days before it disappeared. At first sight of this irregularity I stopped taking my BC and DH and I have been abstinant. Now on Oct 2 I havent had any more bleeding and feel like I described above, and have taken 2 HPTS both with negative results. I have an appt with my PCM tomorrow for a clinical pregnancy test and then we will decide where to go from there if that result is also negative.

right.. my last period was on the 4th of Feb.. i have reg periods so was due on the 4th of this month (cycle 28days) which wud of made me ovulate 17- 20 feb round about and also i checked my cervix and was open the 16th 17th 18th(another sign that i ovulated).. I had snot looking discharge (sign of ovulation) on the 15th and 16th of feb.. i had unprotected sex with my partner on the 14th and again on the 15th. since than the first week i had runny poop

Hi. Im 18 and have been feeling pregnant. I have gained five pounds since last week and my stomache, which is usually flat, is sticking out but not in a bloated way, it is only going forward, and ususally when i get bloated everywhere else bloats too, but not this time. I have had two pregnancy tests done and both came out negative, but for some reason I wont accept that as an answer because i still feel very different. I have been having weird sensations in my stomache like butterflies and have been extremely tired, not up to doing anything (which is not like me AT ALL), have been getting a weird metalic taste in my mouth, headaches, abnormal discharge, and have been anxious and extremely emotional. Most importantly, I am a week late for my period. I am so confused, I feel like I am having all the typical pregnancy symptoms but the tests are resulting negative. Can anyone explain this to me? Could I still be pregnant?

OK, all of you. Especially the 18 and above. Take another test, if it's negative and you still feel pregnant, go see your doctor. I your scared your parents will find out, don't be. If your 18 or over you can go alone. Doctor-Patient appointments are all Confidential. You can tell them not to tell your parents, and they WONT!!! So put all your minds at ease and visit your doctor.

i am 20 years old and i am 26 weeks pregnant , i would say the answer to ur question is yes you can , i took a pregnancy test mid august 2009 as i was getting stomach cramping , having irrgular periods , sore boobs all the pregnancy symptoms but the test was negative but i just knew something wasnt right , around 4 weeks later i took another test and it came up positive after seeing the doctor he confirmed i was around 8 weeks pregnant , so when i first took the pregnancy test i was pregnant it must just take time to show up on the test and at that time i was still having normal periods !!

hi im 17 and i had sex with my husband around feb 5th (i kno im pretty young but i live on my own and im in college lol) and a couple of weeks after that i had some symptoms like food cravings, spitting up saliva, tender bigger breasts, and dizziness. in march i thought i had my period but it came a week late and wasnt normal, then around april 16th it came and lasted for 2 days it came late and was kinda heavy though. then around april 29 i had brownish pinkish spottin it got heavy the next day and lasted for like 2 days. my stomach got bigger and im bloatin a lot i feel movements in stomach and my husband swear im trippin. i took 2 pregnancy test like a couple of weeks ago and they both came bac neg. but i took them 2 weeks apart. im scared to go to the doc cuz i dnt want to be disappointed i been reading these post for about a month now. im SCARED and CONFUSED.

I have had the same Problem as everyone on here. All the symptoms of pregnancy, while still having my period and negative test. So I started doing some research. What is causing the bleeding is caused by a horamonal change in the body. This is called vagianal bleeding and is actually common with woman who are pregnant. This is often mistaked as a period but is not a period. And can occure several times in the first Trimester and should have stopped by the second trimester. Dont freak out. Just do a little bit of research and get checked out by a doctor. severe pain and cramping could be a miscarriage.

im guessing its a faulty test, get another one and see what happens, ive heard the asda ones and the tesco ones are good 
but if you were going to miscarry, you would get a positive test, then it will either not get darker like it should when you do another test ( that DOESNT mean you will miscarry, some woman just dont take to tests very well,) OR in a few days time, a test will be negative but if you think you are, make a doc app, im sure the test is just faulty nothing to worry about just yet hun get a different test 
lol! I'm just thinking it's faulty or the patch was put up the wrong way? AmandaKelly's one disappeared at first didn't it (if i'm thinking of the right person).. So it's either the start of a BFP or a faulty test LOL. I'll disregard it and drop my pee off at the doctors
