The massive and totally honest sleep questionnaire

Emy Sorry if this is dumb but have you tried a dummy?

General:
How old is your baby? 17 weeks and 2 days!

Would you describe them as a good sleeper? Why/why not? Usually, a very good sleeper, since the first day he slept for about 5 hours before food, then 5 hours more.

Does your baby suffer from any health conditions that affect their sleep? (including colic and reflux?) No.

How has baby's sleep changed throughout their life so far? Right now he's in his 4th month, and sleeping is bad.... Not as bad as some people have it every night, but for my son, this is bad.

Night Time:
How long does baby sleep at night? 3 hours tops right now.

How many times on average are you woken up? This night I haven't been able to sleep more then a few minutes, (it's 2.39 in Sweden right now) since 1.30 He's been sound asleep, but I can't sleep...

Where does baby sleep at night? Mostly his own crib, but right now in our bed.

Describe the process of getting baby to sleep. Do you rock? Do you always do the same thing? Is it difficult? We turn down the lights on low around 8 pm, then we read a book until he's sleeping. Usually takes about 30 minutes.

Does your baby fall asleep on their own? Most of the times, yes.

Have you done any kind of sleep training? If so, what? Nope.

Naps:
Does your baby have a nap schedule? No.. He sleeps when he wants to.

Where do they nap? On the couch, or in the stroller while I'm walking.

How many naps? Different from day to day. Around 5 throughout the day, I'd guess.

Nap duration? Everwhere from 5 minutes to 3 hours.

Do you have to work your arse off to get them to nap? No, usually just feed him, or rock him for a few secs.

Do you do the same things consistently for naps? No. If I notice that he's tired I rock him to sleep, but otherwise he'll just fall asleep when he wants to.

You:
Have you suffered any health issues because of sleep deprivation? No.

Have you ever found yourself unable to sit down/move because your baby is sleeping on you? Sometimes, sure, but usually I can lay him down after some time.

Have you ever had a night with no sleep whatsoever? Well, tonight is one of those nights. Mostly because of me, since my son has been sleeping for over 1 hour now...

Have you ever begged your baby to go to sleep? Prayed to the gods? Got so frustrated you thought you might burst? Oooooh yes..

Do you feel your baby is behind, on schedule or advanced in terms of their ability to sleep? No.

What's the worst piece of advice you have read our been given relating to sleep?
And the best? Worst; "Sleep when the baby sleeps". It's not like I can choose to go to sleep at any given second throughout the day. I can be exhausted, and still not be able to sleep. And how the hell do I know that my dearest little son won't wake up in 5 minutes again? Don't wanna risk getting woken up after 5 minutes of wonderful sleeping..
Best; "Don't stress about it. If you can't sleep at night, sleep during the day. You're on maternity leave because you won't get a full nights sleep in a looong time, just roll with it."
Although, right now I really can't just roll with it.. I'm so annoyed at every little thing right now. But I guess it will get better. I hear 4 months is a horrible time, sleeping-wise.
