The Student Group!

I have just finished a Ba Hons in Politics. I SWORE I wouldn't go back and that I had had enough, and now I find myself looking at masters. :dohh: Anyone got a spare five grand I can borrow? :)

thought here might be the best place to post!

im wanting to start my access to nursing next year put it on hold when i found out i was pg how does everyone cope with money and childcare and everything my partner earns about £30 grand a year so i dont think we are entitled to any help!

any ideas anyone? xx

Ohhh Drazic, I started doing politics and ended up with a sociology degree instead. I LOVED it but when I got pregnant I had to move home & it wasn't offered here.

I'm graduating in a few weeks with my B.A. in Sociology :)

As for the nursing access thing...can you try getting a student line of credit through the bank? Over here there's tons of help and its very easy to access

I am going to be starting my BA in September 2010 majoring in Psychology. I am then going to go to teachers college and then hopefully teach grade 1 or 2.
I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I just hope I can handle all the work! I haven't been in school in about 4 years.

I'm a 3rd year at uni studying social work. I am currently doing my dissertation and other assignments so stressing a little!

I am busy learning all hirangana until moday8well learnt half it it by now but I still need to learn miore....

but looks liek everythign is settles now. was quite busy concerning my main subject ...

I'm looking at starting a BSc in Life Sciences (specialising in Ecology & Oceanography I think) in November with the Open University :)

Ive finished my first year of my nursing degree and currently on my 45 weeks course interuption. Will b bk 21st september just hope i can get child care.

Where all ur LO's going while ur studying??

I'm in the exact same situation as you :) I go back at the end of July/beginning of August next year.

There's a nursery just up the road from me which has a very good reputation, so will probably look to put Romilly in there if possible. The thought doesn't make me that happy, but I've got to finish this course, so needs must! Our Uni doesn't have its own creche, but it does help towards childcare costs.

I'm not going straight back into Uni, I've got a placement to do first, which I'm thinking could be hard, as it'll be more/longer days than just being at Uni. Still, we'll see how it all goes.

Yay another Bsc :D

I hope you know your physics and maths though as over here you take the lectures for physics students in the first 2 years (and a few additional oceanographic stuff)

I did the chicken and changed from meteorology to geography because of that xD

Hi all,

I am doing a foundation Degree in Learning support I am into my second yr now - finding it really interesting x

Hey everyone, I am doing my Bsc in Nursing and in my final year lol it's been stressful to say the least, but thankfully I only have 8 months left x

I'm studying for my LAST *real* final exam for my undergrad! I write it tonight!

I still have to write a paper for Monday...and I have to do a German final exam but language exams are an entirely different thing. You don't need to mass reproduce a ridiculous overload of information

need any revision for your German ^^?

It's probably wise for me to join this group :)

I've already got one degree, but I'm probably going to get a second in occupational therapy. If I do, it'll be part time (one day a week) for 4 years so that I can work, which will mean being able (hopefully) to have a wedding/babies.

No idea when I'll be a student again though, either September 2010 or 2011. I was dreading going back, but by doing it part time I'll still have a life (money). Yay! I desperately don't want to put my life on hold for an extra 4 years, but I'm 99% sure we won't have to :D

I start my new job soon as a carer, so if I like that, I'm just going to go for OT :D

so exciting!

How does everyone find studying with a baby? I've just four out I'm pregnant and plan to finish my second year in business law which ends in may. I then plan to take a year out while my baby is born in November and return to third year in September 2012. Do you ladies find it relatively easy to get studying and all that because I know once I tell my disappointed parents that they will be very sceptical that I will be able to cope however if anything I feel more determined than ever as I know that this baby inside me is depending on me.

What do you ladies think?

i love studying but it is very stressful...and i am exhausted all the time... i am doing access to health and am 23 weeks pregnant
