The Ultimate "Driving Test" Thread!

Fab news hun :happydance:

Fingers crossed for both of us!!

I feel like since i've changed my mind set i'm feeling a lot more positive. I've realised the past week that i'm an awesome driver and can totally pass this test. Positive thinking is the way to go I think :D

Yeah, it'd be great if we could both pass this time. :)

So I have a lesson booked for next Thursday, not sure if I'll be able to do it weekly as he's asking me to, but if not, I'll do one hour next week and 2 hours a fortnight later and then I'll have 2 hours before my test. 5 hours should be OK to straighten out the little problems.
I think I'll definitely invest in some rescue remedy spray too, as although I didn't feel nervous much last time, maybe my nerves were more apparent than I realised. I just didn't have the butterflies feeling.

Thanks for the friend request, I added you :) xxx

Consider yourself lucky you didn't have the butterfly feeling :winkwink:

My driving instructor said the day I had the rescue remedy was the day my driving was the best its ever been :smug: defo taking tonnes of the stuff! It tastes foul though

What thinks you concerned about the most?

I just need to get my reference point perfect for the bay park over the left shoulder and the dual carriage way lane changes (i've never had a problem in lessons but sods law on test day they were always packed :dohh:)

What time of day is your test booked?

Thanks for accepting dear :headspin:

Twilight, I have my test on the 22nd too! At 11:35 :happydance: With my bay park I kind of know where my reference for the point of turn is but anything after that is just luck, I just turn the steering wheel and hope :haha: I'm trying to persuade my mum to let me practice parking in her car, but she is having none of it!

Well, now that I've got it on paper, it's my speed as thats what I failed on and also, making sure I'm positioned appropriately because i got failed on being too close to the other car, although I'm sure that's when a car was trying to pull out and i didn't let him and sort of half drove around him, so the other car had to slow down because of me.

I'll be sure to go through everything though as knowing my luck, I'll then fluff up on something else that I was perfect at this time round lol.

I'll be doing my test at 8:10am, it's early but I prefer it when it's emptyish. Just need to get a good speed up. Just wondering how the summer hols will affect the traffic on the morning of my test. But I think the earlier I sit it, the better, then I can just get on with my day after, whether I pass or fail.

What time is yours? xx

Ahhh I just realised, that before you changed your date of test, yours was on the 3rd, in a way it's a shame you changed it because we;d have been close again with the days like we were last time, there was 2 days difference!! :haha:

Good luck for your test also, expecting :)

Ooo good luck! Be sure to report back to this thread. Mines at 8:20 *yawn* soo early!

 I do that too. Just turn the wheel and hope for the best. Recently at my test centre they've started making you drive forwards into the bay, I personally feel this is like doing rocket science :haha: I never get it right!

This has happened to me on every single test! I sorted out the errors of the previous test then I messed up something else :dohh: its so frustrating!

Mine is at 8:20am, i'll have to get up at like 4 to make sure my body and brain is fully awake and functional. If I fail I plan on going back to bed with lots of comfort food :haha:

Well you never know, if I fail on the 22nd I might have another booked for the first week of august (could be lucky with another cancellation!)

Everytime I even think about my test I feel nervously sick. God knows what I'm going to be like on the day!! :(

Do a test run first a few weeks/days before :) see how it makes you feel.

I felt amazing after taking it. Fully alert and calm :)

I wonder if Weed would have the same effect.

But luckily I don't smoke that stuff so I'll just stick to the rescue remedy stuff. Got visions of me if I did smoke weed, laughing through the whole thing and stopping off at maccy d's with the munchies half way through!

Then I'd probably be like that woman on Mr T's Worlds Craziest Fools who phoned the police because she'd asked the people in the burger place to make her a specific burger and they wouldn't make it for her

Oh god I remember seeing that!!

Aww there was a slot opened up for the 13th July at 11:21 which would have been so perfect but my driving instructor is already booked :(

Thank you, good luck to you too!

I'm actually starting to crap it now! I don't know the town where my test is taking place, there is no test centers in any of the towns I know :( My instructor is taking me over there on Thursday and again next week, it seems a tad rushed :nope: I would of liked to get to know the area a bit better. He has said he will cancel other peoples lessons if I need more before the test, but I'm just thinking about the money it's so expensive!! I guess I know how to drive so it doesn't matter where it is, well thats what I'm trying to think anyway

I don't really know the area in which I did my driving test either, but like most people say, it shouldn't really matter because in the future you could end up driving to places yourself you don't know, so should drive as you've been taught, but find that easier said than done on the actual test.
If your instructor is taking you around the area, then that's good, I'm sure you'll be fine! :) xx

lmao me too! Turn and hope! I find you get a bit of give and take on the bay park, it is the manoeuvres I am hoping to get! I would least like to get reverse around corner one.
