so, i am 12 weeks pg now, and although this was a planned pregnancy, ever since i saw my BFP i've been half regretting getting pregnant and feeling really guilty about it!

i keep hearing horror stories about giving birth, then afterwards spending all your time exhausted getting no sleep, and just being a milk-making nappy-changing machine.. i was hoping you guys could tell me the stuff you love about being a mum and having a little baby? give me a little hope that it's not all bad?!

none of it is bad tbh

yeh it can be a bit tiring feeding, changing, looking after ur LO but tbh its sooo worth it, i love it when im feeding her and she makes this little gulpy noise <3 i love it when i come over and she does the biggest grin ever!! i love going out withe the pram and people cooing over her cos shes so gorgeous lol

i love it all really, the only thing i dont like is being pooed on haha but i can live with it!!

x

I love....
Taking him for walks and people always saying he beautiful
feeding him and being close and cuddles something only me and him have
his eyes and the way he looks at me
his lil toes and hands
to watch OH hold him
watchin him sleep
His lil sneezes(which he does like 4 in a row so cute):cloud9:

Things i dont love as much
Changing his diaper(eventho its weird how excited u can get about how much they pee or poo):rofl:
him screaming at the top of his lungs
not gettin my 12-14 hours of lazy sleep i once had:cry::cry:
not being able to go out alone with OH
not getting as much *close*time with OH

But i love My baby boy and everything is worth it in the end,

I have to say I love everything!!!! okay then I dont love the tempers, but it happens to all. I look at both my boys and I am still truly amazed I created these amazing beautiful little beings, yes at times I get tired, annoyed, anxious and pissed off but at the end of each day I thank the good lord above for letting me be able to bring these little creatures into the world.
Hun we all experience motherhood different from the next, but I think everyone will agree with me when I say it is the most amazing thing you will ever experience. xx if I have even made you feel a teeny weeny bit better then I am happy xx

my 2 year old today told me i was his best friend! if that doesnt make the sleepless nights and dirty nappies lack of nights out with oh (or nights in with oh!) missing your favourite programme on tv worth it i dont know what will. i love love love being a mum. there really is no other feeling in the world that beats it when you know that all the little bundle needs or wants is you.

Nobody ever tells you the good stuff do they?? :dohh:

It can be tiring but TBH its great. And it is the best thing in the world.
I love everything about my little man.
The sleepless night is forgotten when LO smiles when waking. :cloud9:
I hate washing the bottles, but thats what OH is for!!

it's definitely not all bad, i won't lie to you it can be hard and they don't call it labour for nothing - it's hard work but it's the most worthwhile thing you will ever do, the joy these tiny people can give you is unbelieveable they really do change your life....

here's my fav things about having a baby and a toddler:-

~ That first smile ~
~ Having your toddler say mum/dad ~
~ the quirky little things that Lilly does like copying me cleaning ~
~ watching them grow into little characters ~
~ the sense of achievement knowing your baby is gaining weight and it's all down to my milk ~

hope this helps

it's hard work but millions of us do it and love it!!! it's all worth it when you see that first smile.... believe it!!!! xx

Definatley, they can cry for hours and hours and then suddenly smile at you and it makes it all worthwhile :cloud9:

Having a baby is great hun although its not all fun its worth it evey time they do something new like their first smile or first steps x

Yes it is hard at times and yes you will be exhausted but its totally worth it. You really will wonder what you did before your little one came along and turned your life upside down. Everyday is something new and wonderful. One of the things I love the most is that feeling of loving something so much that I could actually burst.

i love it all! i love taking her out in her pram is wonderful! her smiles and laughs, how she loves her mummy most in the world, how she giggles at her daddy, how she cuddles up to me when she's tired. i love watching her face when she gets something new, and i love watching her feed and eat - weaning is so fun! all the bottles and nappies don't matter when they give you a big old smile :cloud9: so some days it might be 3 in the afternoon and i'm not dressed, but it doesn't matter, maddi makes life all worth while x

Awww this thread is so sweet!! :cloud9: cant wait for my little man :D

I love the smiles and seeing this little perfect person looking like me. Theres nothing better than going to pick Ellie up out of her cot and shes there lookin up at me beaming. I love being a mom hard work but so rewarding. We do have our bad days but we have loads more good days than bad.

It is hard work but its also the most rewarding thing in the world. Having a baby is amazing and you love them so much that even the bad bits are manageable because of how much you love them. Sometimes i can have a really bad day with mine, especially the older two but then it comes to bedtime and they give me a big cuddle and say 'love you mum sweet dreams' and suddenly its all worth it, ever single paddy and tear!! :cloud9:

I love it all. :cloud9: I cant really think of anything I dont like.....oh I'd prefer it if she didnt blow raspberries directly at me with a mouth full of tomato and bean casserole. :dohh:

Just knowing however horrible or stressful your day is seeing there little face smiling at you makes everything go away.

Every moment they are learning new stuff every day and week they change and knowing you made them is so rewarding!

And obviously knowing they love you more than anyone else!

x

i LOVE it so so much!! Courtney is EVERYTHING to me...!! She really brightens up my mood... all I have to do is look at her... or even think about her and I go all warm!!

The feeling I got when I first saw her was the most amazing feeling ever... nothing can compare... and if I could keep that feeling in a box I would never have a day of feeling sad!!

Yes i found it very very hard at the start... wasnt until she was about 10 weeks old I finally had a happy joyful baby and now she is such a pleasure I dont find it hard at all!! Shes my life and everyday is worth living just for her... and she was a surprise pregnancy and i didnt think I was ready at all... now I couldnt imagine my life without her!!

That smile, that laugh, that sparkle in their eyes when they see you. How excited they get when you first peek over the edge of the crib in the morning, the big grin you get when you come into the room. No matter what kind of mood your in when they smile at you it melts your heart and makes you feel better.
Yes the first couple months were very difficult for me, but it will go by faster than you think. And now I have such a happy little person that brightens my world. I hope you get more excited as the time for you to meet you LO grows closer. Just wait till you feel them kicking in there, it's pretty special.
