I think that makes sense. Emcs often follow hours of labour & intervention. Your body is stressed before they even started the section & then there is the mental anxiety as well during the section to hope all is OK. It's like running a marathon & then doing a 50km cycle ride on top.
I didn't have a section with my first but a gruelling preterm delivery on 100% pitocin with epidural & forceps delivery. It took a long time to recover as I suffered from complete adrenal depletion & could not recover timely. This time around, I feel pretty strongly on refusing Pitocin by all means. I'll go fr natural delivery but will refuse all induction. If baby doesn't cooperate, I'll request section before it becomes emergency.
