I love Charlotte 
as for a middle name I would suggest Elizabeth...Charlotte Elizabeth Cardwell - has a nice ring to it.
I LOVE Lucas, its on my list of boy names but OH doesn't agree
says it sounds pretentious (Gahh men! 
). But Lucas Alexander Cardwell sounds lovely
