This could be a really stupid Q

Is there ever a time it doesn't take your breasts more than 3 hours to refil? Sometimes Caitlyn wants milk little and often, but I worry she is drinking it all and that she isn't getting what she needs.

 I know I should know all this by now!!

It feels like mine refill almost right away sometimes lol.

They don't refill at your stage hun. You get some foremilk gathering, but when LO starts to nurse it sends signals to your breast to start producing milk, then you get the let down of the 'fresh' milk lol. Your breasts are no longer producing milk automatically, they now need the signal before they produce.

Not a stupid question, I think the same. Sometimes Poppy feeds after 5pm and I know I will be giving her her bedtime feed by half 7 and it makes me really worries when I don't feel like I have 'filled up' by then and always assume she's not going to be getting that much before bed.

At what point does this usually get established ? (sorry to hi-jack Toria :hugs: )

hiya hun, i dont know personally but can i just say i was reading a preggo book yday and in it,it says the less the baby starts having the less u produce, and if u feel u need to produce more start pumping some, but yours will be right for catlin hun :hugs:

It's meant to be about three months, but I'm pretty sure it's when you stop leaking (about 6 months for me). Don't get me wrong, you can still get that 'full' feeling as some milk is produced automatically, just not all of it like in the early days.

Thank you! I could've read up on it but figured I'd get a simpler answer here

Mine always seem to have some in now but they didnt used to I used to struggle with the feed before bed but now its fine! I drink tons of water and juices before a feed though and take lots of vitamins and try to eat regularaly even if its just a bowl of cereal or toast! hmm my belly just rumbled...lol

Mine always has milk as Skyler drinks little but often. My body adapted to his needs I think. He drinks every 3 hours.Sometimes earlier and he still drinks through the night.
