THIS is exactly why you should never use an OPK for an HPT

First thing I was gunna say when I looked at your first post was I think theres a really really faint line on that htp! Glad some others noticed it too, I didn't want to be the only one to get your hopes up if it turns out to be an evap! xx

Hope we haven't got your hopes up to much. Best to wait and test again but we'll be watching closely . Most likely an evap if you saw it after the time, maybe you should be posting it in the section. 8dpo is early so good luck for tomorrow (10dpo) You could also try and OPK tomorrow if you have no cheapies left just to see what happened. One girl on here got the result you did near her af then it faded we think she ovulated late or again, can happen.

You girls are so cute! This was really more of an experiment than anything else, and if it it does happen to turn in to a BFP (again, not getting my hopes up) this will be pretty interesting. I really don't think there's a line on that HPT and if there is it's 99% chance that it's just an evap. But, just to give a little more info, the very first pic I posted was taken by the read-by time, the second one and the invert were taken about 5 or 10 minutes after that.

I just ordered some more IC's last night, and they are being shipped today, so they should be here by 11dpo! I'll definitely keep you all updated. Thanks for all your replies!

Thanks all, just a quick update...my IC's have not arrived yet, but I got an FRER today and it was a . If the cheapies come tomorrow I'll test tomorrow, otherwise I'll just wait till 12dpo. I've got my fingers crossed as always, but Ben and Jerry have me prepared for another just in case!

OK, so I didn't really get my hopes up, I've read too much of this site to get all excited over something like this. I swore I would never do this again, but being bored at home I had to pee on something! Anyway, I thought this would be interesting to some of you...I am only 8dpo (I know, I know, it's waaaaaay too early) the top stick is an OPK, almost positive, the bottom is an HPT, clearly a .

Dont want to put a damper on things but did you let them touch...? it can effect it..good luck though x

Strangely, I actually started getting very faint BFPs from 8dpo. Anyway, good luck, hope you get your BFP.

Using OPKs and HPTs is purely a fun factor and never should be used in replace of I did the OPK thing after I knew I had a + on a HPT

Women can ovulate later than they thought in cycle even twice in one cycle which many forget lol

It is like someone said 'possible' that an opk that shows positive where pregnancy is the result before an actual HPT but not something to go on in fact should be ignored. I'd retest on 10dpo and 12dpo

Have you ever tested with a OPK this late in one cycle before?

I did use an OPK I think the month before last when I was about 10dpo, and while I did have a slightly darker line than normal, it was not anywhere near positive. This one looks darn near if it isn't positive, but then again, when I O I normally have 3 days of positives, the test in the middle being super dark, so maybe this isn't really a positive for me?

Also, any line on the HPT has to be an evap...the pic was taken a few minutes after the read-by time, and when 15 minutes went by I saw the evap for sure.

I think I'll test again at 10dpo, I'm out of sticks so I have to go buy a store brand! Good thing though, probably! Thanks for all your good luck wishes, right back at all of you!

Sorry wasn't trying to put a negative side on it more trying to stear you away from hope just from the OPK ...really could well be & I hope it is for you.

Thanks girls! Just a quick update so far I'm 12dpo, an HPT was a BFN yesterday and I've started spotting...seems to be too late for implantation and it seems like there's more there for it to be implantation anyway. My IC's still aren't here yet though!!!! My temp is weird, but I'm pretty sure that AF is on the way, going by my spotting, if she's not here by tomorrow then I'll think something is up.

No worries, Wobbles, I'm usually the most negative/cynical person out there!
