I was in a shoe shop this afternoon, waiting to ask something about baby shoes. Whilst I was in there, there was a dad with his 2 kids. The little boy was about 3 maybe. He was looking at these shoes that lit up. He said "daddy look, these shoes are magic! They light up!" His big sister - possibly around 7 or 8 - says "no, they're not magic, that's just how they're made!" The little boy looks a little upset and turns to his dad and says "is that true daddy?". His dad is obviously trying to work out what to say to him, and says "well ..." And the sweet little boy burst into tears!
