Spain? a culture shock?? I am with you there as well, and that is saying a lot coming from me, being half Spanish!

Good people the Spanish though! Love their way they live life and socialise

No....I never get culture shock when abroad.....


The culture shock came when I stopped working and became a mom to a 5 month old baby boy!

Hi Calm... Yes, it has definitely run thru my head. And considering my hubby is gone alot I take alot on my shoulders... I own my own business, I show dogs, I take care of the house/bills/etc... And my hubby does as much when he can when he is home... But often I have wondered - Whoa! BUT, we are ready for that next step... and he has said he will be making changes when the time comes - might as well make the money while he can get it... It's not like a new puppy, that is house broken in a matter of a few weeks... LOL And, I was the girl that NEVER thought I would get married, or have kids... Then I found the ONE, and he changed everything... But we wanted to enjoy each other and being a married couple and wanted to wait a bit before TTC... And now we are here... yes it will be an adjustment, but we are so ready to make those sacrifices... I can't wait to prego! Can't wait for the first kick in my belly, the first time I look in their eyes, the first cry, the first smile... I'll sleep when I'm dead! ;o)

That is very true, us the Spanish, work on our career and make sure that we have all money matters sorted before TTC. There is a danger to this though, we are not having children!!
None of my family, myself and my cousins are all in our 30s and none have kids. There are no little ones in my family well yet...

Here's the thing that surprised me....I never felt like I was sacrificing anything...I WANTED to make adjustments so I could spend more quality time with him...I never felt like anything was taken away...I only felt that he added to our lives....(maybe it feels different when you are a longterm mom, lol...)

That is the fun bit about cats, they are mad and they make you laugh!

Mine have this thing with olives and celery sticks!! They love them, how weird is that?!!!

It is mad (I hate olives yuk ) My cat likes crisps but I won't give her any, but she finds one sometimes and woffles it down!

Talking of life style changes, our cats will have a shock when we bring a baby to the house. My boy cats has to sit on anything new, he would certainly sit on a baby if he could, and sleep in their cot. He will be well miffed when he's not allowed in the nursery

I know what you mean! yes, they do like new things, and they get very jealous, don´t they.

Well I will be very lucky if my old lady lasts till I have a baby as she is old and has kidney disease. That is the thing with pets, they break your heart!

Tell me about it, you wouldn't believe what we have been through will our girl in the last 6 months, but she is a lot better now thank goodness XXX
