I posted this in the first trimester but no one could really help with what the problem might be.

Last Wednesday I had my 13 week scan. Since then I have had constant stomach ache. At guest I put it down to a lot of prodding and poking during the scan to get baby to move but since then it's got worse.
It's gone from a dull ache yo constant belly ache all day every day, literally I have it from the minute i open my eyes. It gets worse after I've eaten.

I went to early pregnancy ward on Monday since I was getting concerned. They did a scan with a hand held machine and baby was fine.
They said it could be my bowels spasming, even though I'm going to the bathroom regular. Or it could be stretching, surely it wouldn't be there all day everyday for a week now?
The only way I can really describe it is it's almost like a period/constipation pain but again there all day.

I've tried to research on google but alls I'm getting is acid reflux, I'm not suffering with heartburn etc so I don't think it's that.

Sorry for the long post. I hope someone can offer some advice!?

Thanks

There are some major growth spurts around this time that can cause your stomach to ache. Everything is stretching and being displaced to make room for a growing uterus/baby and I've had everything from my stomach, liver, and even my lungs hurt at some point when things are shifting. If the baby is fine just go with that age old advice you'll get sick of hearing (if you haven't all ready lol) put your feet up and drink lots of water!

Its sounds like round ligament pain. . this is exactly what it feels like for me during growth spurts. Don't worry hun!!

Thanks girls. I'm trying to not do much but it isn't easy especially since I've just had 12 weeks of pretty much bed rest. That's one thing though I don't think I'm drinking enough could that be contributing to the pain too?
Hard not to worry when it's been constant for 6 days now, I guess if baby is ok though I can cope with any pain. :) thank you again x

It's very possible that not drinking enough water could be causing the pain. Especially if the doctor has given you the okay. And like pp said it could be round ligament pain. Long that up and see if it's describes what it is you're actually feeling. And just always remember your insides are constantly moving about in there as baby grows there is a possibility for that to be painful.

Hope your pain goes away soon either way!

Do you drink enough water?

Ive noticed with this baby ive had 4-7 days worth of pains etc every so many weeks.
Plus a lot round ligament pain. Think best you can do is take paracetamol, rest as often as possible and just keep an eye on it.

In all honesty, no I'm probably not drinking enough. I probably have around 5/6 half glasses a day, not a lot really is it. I have always struggled to drink a lot even before pregnancy. I'll drink lots today though and see if that helps.

As for the ligament pain, I've researched it and it says the pain would come and go in short bursts, this pain has been constant for the last week.

Thank you ladies.
