Thread killer........

Yes milk is still important but as you introduce solids it's natural for the intake to start dropping. I tried restricting Fran's solid intake in the hope that as she got more hungry she would take more milk instead but it didn't work. She actually started taking a little more once I let her eat as much as she wanted.

I started her on yoghurts at 5 months and cheese a couple of weeks later because her milk intake went down and dairy counts towards the milk intake - my hv said this was ok.

But to be fair Fran's milk intake had already started to drop before we started weaning and she took to solids so well that we just pushed on and went into it full force - she has been on 3 meals a day since 5 months old and until the last couple of days would finish a 7m+ jar plus pudding for dinner and a bit less for lunch.

I don't blame you for taking it more steady with Rory if he is still taking a healthy amount of milk.

Just go with your gut instinct love and you can't go wrong xx

:hugs: Anna, hope your HV has some advice/ideas tomorrow

It's quiet on BnB tonight

I'm off to bed now. Gotta be up and organised in the morning because we need to catch the 9am bus into town and head to baby group. Will be out most of the day because we are starting a 3wk baby massage course straight after so need to take madams lunch with me and a big towel to wrap around me for when she spits it in my face!

I feel a bit crappy too  LO was sleeping earlier and seemed to choke a bit, I got him upright and he was fine but it scared the life out of me  and now i'm worrying about it happening again at night when we're sleeping

babies are scary

It's ok sweetie, think I need to get myself booked in the doctors! :dohh:

Well I woke up and I'm not blind, still a bit sore and my vision is a tad blurry but I think I'll be ok.

Anna - Daphne went like that about 3 weeks ago the most she'd eat was 2/3 spoonfulls of her food and she wouldn't drink anymore milk than normal. It lasted about a week and then she went back to normal. I put it town to teething. I hope poor fran is feeling better soon :hugs:

In other news daphne slept beautifully last night, she only woke up at 5 for her bottle and then straight back to sleep until half 6 which is v. rare!

Well done Char! & Well done Daphne :happydance:
