Tia Sharpe

Unless he did something to her or tried it on and she was gonna tell...

I hate to say it but this is what I was thinking too :(

Me too. I orginally thought (as I put in a previous post) when the press reported her mum was missing too, that Tia had caught him and her mum up to something. It's just so odd. It doesn't help with the way it is being reported, I guess there is only 2 people who will ever know the truth and sadly one of them isn't here anymore. We could look for answers and speculate but I honestly don't think we will ever know what really happened.

:( Awful.

ANd her grandma makes me sick. If the police could smell then she must of too, seriously how do you go to sleep at night knowing your grandaughter is there?

I agree about the grandmother - if you can call her that!

i think he must of done something to her sexually, i cant think of no other reason why he would do that, maybe it was 'accidental' and he smothered her to stop her screaming etc... it really is horrendous.

That poor girl!

I really hope and pray nothing else happened to her, its tragic enough, but he must of had a motive, it sounds like he has been in her family for a while if he was mum's boyfriend first, I honestly don't know why he would want to kill her:cry:

I dont get it, I mean the rumour of him being mums BF first.

Tias mother has been with her sons father for 8 yrs, so she mustve been pretty young when or if they had any involvement together and also he mustve known Tia since she was a baby which makes for a pretty sick thought too.

:nope:

Has it been said what happened and has he been sentenced?

He wont be sentenced for a while. This was only the offical thing where they are remanded etc. He has court on Wednesday at the Old Bailey, where he may seek bail  and then a prelimary date for the hearing is November, but that is usually pushed back tbh.

Is that what happened? The police could smell something? Thats just awful :(

I read this, and the grandma had only been with him for less than 2 years...

^

I read 5 yrs  God knows tho, it all sound very messy.

Tbh, i said way back i thought it was most likely to be a sexual motive. I mean, he was with the mum first, then the gran....i mean...it turns my stomach. Seemingly though and not sure its remorse but the news said he was 'emotional' when he was in court and his voice 'cracked' Hope the police have caught the right person and he isnt covering for the gran. Its just all so awful. Poor girl. When you look at her photos young and older you think of all the dreams she would have had, her life filled with thoughts of the future that are now sadly robbed from her and her family. I just dont know how the mum will cope. I dont think she can cope tbh..she hasnt even identified the body...and who could blame her :(

I'm on my phone and can't link up but I've read on bbc website that her body had bruises. I never knew bruises could happen post mortem. So so sad, this story has really affected me. I have tried my best not to speculate but could one person manage to move a body in a loft by themselves?

I dont think bodies do bruise after death. bruises are blood coming to the surface right?

It would be fairly easy to get Tia in the loft :( For one person to do it though would have been a bit more difficult but then they wouldnt have cared about how they treated her to get her up there :(

Here is the link https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-19240104

Going to spoierl the next bit as I know a bit too much about bruising etc after death and some people might be upset by what I write, as it could be seen as graphic.

Blood can still come to the surface if the person is not handled well after they have died, the post mortem examination will be able to tell determine if it is post-mortem bruising, antemortem bruising or it could even be lividity (where the blood naturally ends up and looks like bruising due to gravity).

Thank you Tasha for that information. I'm sure the people doing the post mortem would be able to distinguish if it is an impact bruise or lividity.
Is it common to stop a post mortem for a few days?

Yes they will and certainly will also be able to tell if it is before or after.

Yes, it is very normal for them to start and stop. Last year there was two children's pathologists in the whole of London when Riley Rae needed hers, and although this is crime it will need someone who specialises in children.
Again the next bit could be upsetting for some

Basically it would of started on Saturday so they took as many samples as they needed because they need to be preserved asap especially given how long she could of been dead for, but the looking at her etc would of started today. Riley Rae was born near Easter and so her samples were collected on the 16th April (day after she was born) which was a Saturday but the rest didnt happen until happen for almost two weeks and then the funeral directors were allowed to go and get her on the 3rd May. So it can be quite long.

Tasha I am so sorry hun.
You have been most helpful. I remember when my uncle passed away and it took nearly a month before his body was released, but that was because the first post mortem was inconclusive. Hugs. X

:hugs: it is so hard waiting. I am sorry you guys had to wait so long.

Both of my girls were fairly quick in the grand scheme of things (Honey's was a week) as I do live in London, but I know people who had to wait between six and twelve weeks for their children. I've read a lot and it seems it is since the Alder Hey scandal that not many people want to be pathologist's for children (not that there was an over whelming demand before hand but there has been a decline since).
