Tiny bump, messuring small - small baby?

i never get any " o0o0oh your big " comments

and the lady at the till in asda goes to me

"wow you not put on any weight, are you going to be one of these skinny mums"

None of my friends have babies, I'm the first to really settle down and I keep hearing "you won't get stretch marks!" and "You've hardly put anything on, the weight will just fall off!". I kind of wish they would say nothing than to say these things, IYKWIM? I know I will get stretch marks (my arse is an explosion on them and they're sneaking around to my tummy! Nooo!) and I probably won't be too bothered to loose the weight as I'm fairly lazy lol.

People say these silly things because they don't know what else to say, I would have probably said the same to someone else! Don't worry xx

You don't look small to me. I am 37 weeks and not that much bigger.. the "tape measure" says i'm fine. I wouldn't worry if they are not concerned. You just look like you have a nice compact bump hun xx

When I was last measured a week and a half ago, my FH was a week behind (28cm), but three weeks previously was measuring a week ahead (27cm). Both masurements taken by the same mw. I'm sitting here measuring now and consistently getting 30, despite only gaining 1lb in weight for each of the last 2 weeks. It's not the most accurate. And your bump looks bigger than mine

I have been measuring 2 weeks behind since 28wks. At 34 weeks the first time the MW measured FH was 30cm, she measured again 5 mins later and got 32cm cause bubs had moved... Anyway, she sent me for a grwoth scan just to make sure and the consultant measured me as 31cm....but from the growth bubs was almost exactly on the "average" line. They didn't tell me how big bubs is likely to be but FH is definitely really inaccurate!

Fiore - you are probably right with the whole thing about people - if they never had a baby before they cant understand how ya feeling and yes they probably dont have a clue what to say. its just hard to keep patient with them lol

Tell me bout it lol. Then you have the friends who treat you like you are disabled and the friends who think you can still do everything you did before. A close mate of mine got really anoyed with me and called me lazy because I couldn't walk the 25 minute journey home from town and insisted getting a bus! I'm carrying an extra 2 stone and all my joints were killing me! gargh xx

I had a small baby 4lb 12 oz 4 weeks early - they had said since 20 weeks that she was small for her age - I didn't believe that I would have such a small baby as measurements aren't always acurate so when she arrived early we had to run around finding small baby clothes - which is acutally really hard to find

omg how rude! lo0ol they just wont understand until THEY are the ones pregnant and then you can drop her off at the bottom of town and make her walk the whole way home hehe
