Anyone have any helpful tips on dealing with this please? I haven't pooped in over a week!
**really tmi bit**
It's not that it's too hard or anything it's just that there is no stimulation there to go iykwim....

Any advice would be good

apparently its due to our muscles relaxing and our intestines relaxing. I would love to know too, i think my prenatal vits prob dont help?

Lactulose helped me loads!!! I did not go for twelve days but now i have no problem

I drink lots pf prune juice and water every day. I also dedicate a little window of time to just sitting on the loo and doing mini pushes  to get things moving. Rocking whilst doing this also helps sometimes as it helps ease things along. If I was a fly on the wall in the loo, crazy pregnant lady rocking herself on the loo. :haha:

Trust me, get yourself to a supermarket (I got mine from Waitrose - they definately stock it) and get a bottle of 100% prune juice!! (Its called 'Sunsweet Californian Prune Juice') Doesnt taste too good, but, blimey... it works a treat!

I spent a horrendous few days with this last week! Luckily I got things moving again with some helpful suggestions from ladies on here. I can sympathise with the feeling of just not really needing to go at all rather than finding it difficult to go when I did need it.

I sipped a lot of hot water and hot fruit teas to lubricate my insides. Also, I ate bran flakes for the fibre content, and ate lots of fruits with skins on, like plums, peaches and grapes. I soon got things moving again by doing this.

One thing I would say, is don't push if you don't feel the need to go or strain yourself too much, as it could lead to piles.

I drink a lot of fruit juice and find that this keeps things moving in the poo department x x x x
