To Wrap Or Not to Wrap?

I cant imagine not wrapping them - I think the surprise of trying to guess what it is etc. is the best bit!

Ill be using seperate paper for pressies from Father Christmas, but will also get some sticky labels and just write there names on so it doesnt get confusing!
Im also thinking it may be a good idea to get rid of all the packaging in advance and assemble the toys so they dont have to wait for us to try to un-do all the packaging and find batteries etc.
DS has a train set this year though, so I may get OH to assemble that in the living room, get it all ready and then maybe just lay some wrapping paper over the top of it or something - not sure yet how to do that one!

Wow i didnt realise some ppl dont wrap everything! to me thats the whole fun, unwrapping things and seeing what "he" brought. i think if we had have walked in our living room and just seen everything out it wouldnt have been so exciting. also all of our presents were from santa when we were younger bar one or two.
we also never had stockings. isnt it strange how ppl do things differently!

ETA: thinking about it, big presents like bikes wernt usually wrapped and were usually assembled. i remember 1 year me and my sis got bikes. we had opened all our presents then my mam told us to go and put the heating on or something. when we went through to the utility room our bikes were there :D

We only had one present from santa apart from our stockings, everything under the tree was wrapped and from people. The santa present was always left in our bedroom with the stocking.

I couldn't imagine not having presents from friends and family but having lots of presents from santa!

yeah, we still got presents from friends and family but they were throughout the day or under the tree already...eeeeee i cant wait for christmas and im 25 lol

I can't wait either and I am 26. I think it is a mixture of it being our first christmas in our own home together, our only christmas just us two and the fact that I will be due a few weeks after!

ahh im so jealous! im still living with my parents! maybe next year i will be in a similar situation to you

My parents always wrap everything from santa, and then sneak into ours rooms in the middle of the night while were sleeping and leave them all in a pillow case at the end of our beds, they still do even though i'm 20, my sister is 18 and brother is 16, other brother is 10, so he still really enjoys it, infact my mum even did for my aunt (48) when she stayed for xmas!. your never really too old for santa!

we used to have everything wrapped or hidden, for example one year my dad made me a dolls house and hid it under a sheet! one birthday i got a pram and my mum did a treasure hunt for me around the house.

Ben was 9 months old last xmas and we wrapped everything although most of it was taken out of its boxes so that i didnt have to fiddle with those stupid plastic things all morning and he could just play with the toys straight away! made wrapping a bit harder but the whole day a bit easier!

I saw on the Halfords website that you can buy special wrapping paper for bikes!
