Just trying to work out whats going on with my sons pooing! He used to poo loads like 3 or 4 times a day, not loads just little ones then the other day he had a bit of diarrhea and got really upset followed a few minutes later by the most massive poo I have ever seen in my life! (I was changing his nappy when it came out lol!) It was HUGE! It wasn't hard or anything and he was much happier afterwards but that was saturday and he hasn't pooed since!

I'm confused as to what is going on! He hasn't tried to go at all or hasn't got upset and is eating as normal so theres a fair bit waiting to come out!

Also his nursery mentioned a few weeks ago they thought he might have IBS as he pooed little and often??? ( but obviously not any more!)

Any thoughts on this at all????

No advice really, but my DD is the same. Just a warning though, she has terrible trouble when she doesnt go for a few days and a couple of times now, it gets stuck and iv litrally had to 'help' her get it out. She gets very upset, and screams in pain. We have lactalose, and if she doesnt go for a day/ day and a half i give her some of that to keep it soft so she can move it easily.
Just keep an eye out, and make sure he doesnt look like hes got tummy ache or is struggling to go.. if he is i would take him to the doctors x

My dd has all kinds of trouble pooping... usually too hard/marbles, it hurts her, or she can't go for days. Our pediatrician told us to put a 1/2 of an adult dose of Miralax in one of her drinks, once a day. Since doing that, she has been much more regular, with softer stools. I'd check with your pediatrician, but my recommendation is Miralax... it's safe and has worked wonders. My dd is 2.5 and my new dd is 3 months and she's using it as well, so it is safe and trusted!

Took him to the Drs today as still no number 2's and he felt his tummy which was fine he said and just gave him Lactolose! Now to try and get him to actually take the Lactolose!

bit of an update, its now 3 weeks on and we seem to be in a pattern now again of 1 week and no poo! Then he goes (diarrhea) then a few bits then nothing for a week again. On top of this now he has started clutching his boys bits a lot and the area above his boys bits is all red from scratching! Not sure if its eczema as he does get that a bit still! Might take him back to the docs again!
