I dropped my baby at my dads yesterday as planned to pop to the shops, I've got one of those tubs with compartments so you can put the right amount of scoops in and then poor it into the bottle, great for when your out about about. Anyway I said to him you put the nozzle over ONE compartment and poor it in, he said fine...I come back, go into the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea and the tub was complete empty. I said Dad you didn't use both sections did you, he said yes wasn't I supposed to. So my lo had 10 scoops in 150 mls, I panicked that it would have given him a funny tummy but he's fine, and infact after that he didnt have another feed for 5 hours, whereas he usually has a bottle every 2 and a half. So I spose it all leveled out in the end, he would have had 10 scoops in those 5 hours anyway.

I think he got abit flustered because Addison was screaming the house down and was trying to do it one handed.

I googled it thinking I might find out why they shouldnt have more scoops than it says, all I could find was that if they have more scoops than they should regularly then they might gain too much weight.

Phew glad it didnt have an adverse effect on him.

:hugs: glad he's ok :) Ive done something similar before too and my LO is fine xx

It might make them gain weight too fast or make them constipated. I think everyones done something like that at one point or another though, no harm done :hugs:

Thanks ladies!!

He's certainly not constipated, he's as regular as clockwork! lol

These things happen I spose, and at least my dad now knows he just uses one section and not two...and if anyone else looks after him I will make it crystal clear.
