totally over nights out

So on Thursday i had my first night out since LO was born. It was the first time I've drank since September. We had a few drinks at my friends house then headed to a club in town.

I was really looking forward to it but it was such a let down! The banter was good in my friends house but the club was terrible. I had sort of went off clubs before i was pregnant but thought id enjoy it coz it had been so long.

I also yhought id end up steamin after a few drinks but i had loads and didnt even ger drunk! No hangover thsnkfully. I think im just over it or getting too old.... Tho im only 23 lol

I'm with you! I had my first child at 21, was a party girl before that, but IDK it just seems pointless now. I enjoy socialising but CBA with clubs they're crap! Far rather have a wee night in with some friends etc!

It wasnt the first time i went out but i went out last week and altho the night was good the nxt day i felt like a bit.of a waste.. Whu did i spend all tht money.. I jus felt blehh u know and guilty. Im also 23

I just feel like clubbing is for single, child less people now some random creepy old man tried to chat me up and it just made me think, god I want to go home lol x

I've been over nights out and drinking for about 2 years now! I'm only 21 All my friends are the complete opposite and make it their mission to go out drinking 2/3 nights a week. I used to go out once or twice a week but the money spent and the hangovers the next day just made it seem not worth it, I nearly always woke up with that awful feeling of dread as I've usually done something stupid/embaressing which I either remember or I don't. Pre-pregnancy I only used to go out once every few months just to keep my friends happy (they never really understood that it wasn't my thing anymore as I used to live for the partying) but now I don't bother at all. Not that I would whilst pg anyway, drunk people are so annoying when you're sober!

Haha I still love nights out, I go out pretty regularly! You might find that you begin to enjoy it more when you get used to it and can really relax

im 23 and i hate going out now, hate getting drunk the thought of feeling awful the next day with a baby it just isnt worth it ive been out twice since my son was born and home by 12 both times just know i have a early start i completely hate going out now!

I still love nights out when we get the chance...! Last night was our first night out for a while and we had a fab time! We mostly go out as a couple though which imo is more fun... We didn't get home til 7.30 this morning! As for the drinking thing i had loads last night but didn't really feel drunk and no hangover either... I think its cos i know when we get back to mil lo is there so i find it really hard to shake off mummy mode but still have loads of fun and i can live without the hangovers just wish my feet did not hurt sooo much!
Eta... I'm now 32 so older than most of you but we all go out in a large group where I'm the youngest by quite a bit...!

I guess it depends why you go clubbing. I still go out and I'm 30 at the end of the year! I head to nights where I'm interested in the music though and have a bit of craic with mates - not to get shit-faced and listen to awful tunes. OH always jokes that I do my happy-bouncy dance when we're out because I'm so delighted to be with my friends.

We went camping last night too and it was loads of fun - hill walking, BBQ & wine. Sometimes it is nice to be me and not 'mum' for a night.

I still love going out but it's more to gigs whenever I get the chance or weddings/engagements/birthday parties etc.. I used to go to 3 day raves when I was much younger and never suffered from hangovers and could make work no probs. I can't handle the hangover from just a few drinks now so times have definitely changed for me and I'm happy with that
OP maybe when your LO gets a bit older you might enjoy a night out now and then again
