Tracing family trees

I do family tree research and it is fascinating. Not going too far back I discovered that my maternal grandmother was ten years(!!!) older than she claimed to be and that my paternal grandfather had a brother we never knew about who died young. I also found out my great aunt was illegitimate (scandal) and that my great grandmother had an illegitimate child when she was 15.
Most interesting was finding out that I am related to the Brontes through my paternal grandmother.
