So I'm still on first fri around 10 weeks and it's finally sinking in. I'm feeling nervous but I'm allowing myself to be a little bit excited!

I wish I could say I enjoy picking names, well I suppose I do, what I don't like is that the husband never agrees to them. So I'm starting early do I can work on him.

I'm open to suggestions but I'd like something fairly traditional but not overly common.

I like feminine sounding names for girls but nothing too flowery. At the moment I like May (too similar to Amy?) Rosemary and Ellen.
For boys, something strong. I have no boys names in mind!

We Already have Caitlyn, Ollie, Eve, Amy, William, Alfie and Alice. Middle names are Leigh, Coel, Eve, Matthew and Victoria so those names are out.

Our surname is Allonby. Any help would be much appreciated! 😊 x

Thank you! Those are definitely the types I'm looking for. Alice was Anna right up until my due dAte!
I must admit I tend to lean towards vowel names, unfortunately a lot clash with our surname, like Alice, but I loved the name so much I didn't care 😊 lol xx

I really like Catherine but I'd worry with having a Caitlyn that they may both get shortened to Kate.
I also love Alexander but Alex and Alice?

Not sure I'd pick may when you have an Amy. My all time fav boy name is Alexander

Yeah I think they're too close. Shame x

I like
Harrison
Benjamin
George
Thomas
Jack
Jacob
Lucas

Charlotte
Emily
Ava
Florence
Ella
Holly/ Hollie (my daughter is Hollie)
Isabelle

I love Holly but it's a no go as I have an Ollie, lol.
It gets harder with each child!
Love Ava but too similar to Eve I think. Ella again lovely but with Ollie and Alice and Allonby as surname...
But these are definitely the types of names I am looking for. Just need one to really jump out n then persuade the hubby!
find boys harder, love Jacob but it's becoming very popular x

I think we have similar tastes in names I love all of your names

I have Jack and Freddie (Frederick)

My lists for a number 3 if I had one are:

George
Arthur
Henry
Seth
Jacob (too close to my Jack)
Lucas

Lily
Olivia
Grace
Ivy
Orla
Nora

I think lots of these sound great with your surname and match your other kids!

Seth Allonby is gorgeous

Lily Allonby, Ivy Allonby (fab as it is a vowel name too!) and Grace Allonby

Orla is so pretty. Would Orla n Lora (my name) be too close?
I've just fallen in love with the name Emmaline but I can't have it with our surname it sounds ridiculous!
All the names you've listed are lovely- timeless and classic, just what I'm after.

Orla is totally fine with Lora - perhaps not as a sibset but for mother and daughter it would be fine!

Orla Allonby is lovely actually x

Ooh I'd forgotten about orla! I may have to add that to my list it's beautiful

I really really like Rose and it was DH mums name.

I think it's lovely too. We have a one syllable surname so I've insisted all our children have more than one syllable in first name so it's not too harsh sounding but sadly what with that and the surname starting with an s it rules out a lot of lovely names!

So hard to pick names isn't it!

Orla and Lora are perfectly fine together, would be a great name to use! About May and Amy... I think it's too close because you just need to switch the letters, but Mae and Amy have a different feel and don't look the same when looking at them - that spelling works in my opinion.

Norah
Adele
Julia

Nicholas
Noah
George
Jonah
