Who's been?

We took Olivia today, we were recommended to pre-book as its been quite busy, so I booked online. We had to pay for mine & OH entry into the grotto as well as Olivia and with a booking fee paid a total of £14 !!!

Now bearing in mind, you get to see a 15 minute 4D film and Livvy gets to see Santa and get a gift...so does this justify the price??

Her gift was a little reindeer called 'Rocket' which related to the film, the film that Olivia wasnt interested in keeping her 3D glasses on and so we watched a 'blurred' film and got blew at by fans, as if we wasnt cold enough!! (the grotto is outside also!)

When we finally got to go in and see Santa in his grotto, it was cute but you share the room with all the other kids and he talks to them all at once rather than individually...he gives you a choice of soft toy, which we chose the reindeer (the other was a snowman) she sat on his knee and before you knew it she'd had her photo taken. It was over in what seemed like a matter of minutes..I was kinda deflated a little!

And of course we're going to want a photo and they were beltin these out at £5 a print or a bargain price £8 for two...so in total we spent £22 for a visit to Santa - He better bring some bloody good pressies next week!!

I'll justify it this time as it was Livs first time, but I dont think i'll be spending so much next time...not unless we're going to the North Pole! :D

All in all i'd give it 7/10 so if anyones planning on going wrap up warm & take your purse!! :dohh:

Heres my lil lady:

Moan Over!! Merry Christmas

shes very cute but that does sound expensive :( We did a totally different thing this year and went to a local inn that was supposed to be a barge cruise with santa but canal was frozen so they hired a yurt. It was on for an hour and santa was there for about 45 mins. We went in and the children(about 15 children) got to pick a fruitshoot, biscuit and sweety and the adults got tea/coffee/mulled wine and mince pie :D Then they coloured in card christmas shapes to write their wish on and hang on the tree. Then we played some christmas songs and did dancing (hokey cokey, if ur happy and u know it etc) then santa came and gave them a present then we did some singing and more dancing with santa and played musical bumps and simon says lol Then he sat by the tree and we could take pics of him with the children :D

Was GREAT, and was only £20 for me and amelie.

Our little one went with her grandparents on Sat and they said it was fab. She got the snowmn toy and she got a snowglobe with a picture of her and Santa in and said it was brill!

Aw that sounded like a fab day!! I'll be looking around next time and hopefully get something a little better. I dont mind paying that much as such if its going to be worth while... :)

awww she looks very cute but as said it does seem very expensive :( ud think knowing moneys tight this year they'd make it cheaper

AND.....

He didnt even have a real beard!!! :dohh:

:haha:

I'm just a moaning old cow hee hee - Just think how much they are making!! 10 kids per session, roughly about £15-£20 per go...WOWZA!!

Hm, I took Evie yesterday, free to see santa and get a present, you just paid for picture's which were £5 each, or £10 for a picture, and two keyrings! me and OH got to be in the picture to! Sounds like you'll defiantly be thinking twice about it next time hun!

Love the pic hun...sorry it cost you so much! xx

Sorry it was so much hun :( Tegan saw Santa outside Morrisons tonight, he was collecting money for a local children's orphanage. He gave her a lollipop and she was terrified of him, so I'm glad we didn't pay for her to see Santa especially as it would've been a waste of money!

How old is Olivia? I only ask because we went last weekend and didn't have to pay for Dylan as he is under 2.
I was a bit miffed that we had to share our time with Santa. Our Santa also thought himself a bit of a comedian and was cracking jokes all the time. I didn't like it, he asked Dylan his name and how old he was so I had to answer for him and he said "Well Dylan, you have a very high pitched voice!" so I was annoyed, haha.
Cost us £17 for us, Dylan, a picture and a snowglobe, which seems expensive. I'll certainly be looking around next year.

18 mths!! Damn, I booked online, if I only I knew I didnt have to pay for her! Oh well...Yeah must have been the same guy, funny santa. NOT!

looks good, I cant say much as paultons is £72 lol but it is probably a good price, down here, that would be an average price x

We should have gone to the Trafford centre yesterday but cancelled because of the snow in Manchester (we're in Leics) & we were going to go see Santa, glad we didnt go now tbh christmas is an expensive time as it is without having to for out £22 pound just to have a quick photo with him.
Cant believe it wasnt individual either, thats shocking x
