I think we've decided on the above Travel System...It's £199 in BabiesRUs at the mo so a bit of a bargain...

https://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-...tro-Tour-Deluxe-Travel-System-in-LOL(0068315)

Anyone have one and have any opinions...good or bad please?
It all looks great except and the only small concerns I have are that some mums have said the carry cot gets hot for baby in Summer and also that it is heavy and bulky....

Any thoughts and comments welcome please

love these makes!! have you been in an tested it all?
I did and the carry cot is actually cr*p :( when you fit it in, theres no clicks etc. you just lay it ontop! I felt it wasnt safe enough. I cannot remember exactly which one it was with, But i love the make an how they are. So think il go in again an test out....
I dont think there heavy (an im a weakling lol) sooooo easy to fold up too!

I had one with my daughter summer 2009, carrycot is tiny and didn't have 6 weeks in it. Pushchair part looked too big for a 6 week old baby so had to use car seat everyday. Didn't find it a good buy when you take that into consideration.

im not too sure about travel systems in general id like to know more myself ive had tons of pushchairs but never one of those so im concidering one like what your getting but still hmm hesitating as they do look a bit bulky x

I hated my graco. The wheels used to wind me up everytime we went to a shopping centre because they dont turn properly on shiny floors!!

They are big and bulky and the carrycots are rubbish.

The car seat was ok on the pushchair but when we put it in the car on the graco base it was too far forward so babies head used to fall forward. I would never get one again.

I had one of these and it lasted 6 weeks!! It was too heavy/bulky for me everytime I put in boot of car I ended up wet and muddy(winter baby) it's a sturdy pram but like someone else said the carrycot bit looks a bit tiny for a baby for long!!
Great prices though maybe have a look and see if it meets what u want it for

Xxx

Ive just brought one of these, Ive managed to put it all together and fold it up myself, it seems quite easy. The carrycot does say that its only for newborns so they cant stay in it very long, we got ours from babysrus, bargain!xx

I had one from August 2008 until August 2009, then we swapped it for a stroller for LO.

Mine was really well made, sturdy, easy to fold and the carrycot and carseat were so easy to attach to the base.

LO stayed in the carrycot for about 8 - 12 weeks - and he grew very quickly. Then we used the carseat attached to the base if we walked anywhere and got him out when we arrived.

It was heavy when LO got bigger, hence the reason we ended up gettinga stroller, but it was my first travel system and I didn't know any different so I didn't think it was heavy.

I would get another one for my next LO but he buggyboards don't get a good fitting rating.

Good luck chosing one that suits you......there's soooooo many out there. x

I had one of these.. it is a bit bulky and a bit heavy, but I never had any issues with functionality at all.... was very happy with it actually, and still have it. :)

We have a Graco, and I love EVERYTHING about it, but the wheels drive me nuts!!!! They're too big, and get stuck on everything! Like, they don't turn side to side properly or something, I dunno. If you're stopped, and you want to go, they get all hung up, and hit walls and doors if you're too close. We're going to get a double stroller for when our little girl gets here, and we're going to make sure we get one with smaller wheels!

I don't think we have that particular Travel System here... but we do have Gracos! We've purchased this one: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4043724 The colors are excellent

It was easy as pie to put together and it you just twist the handle to fold it up and its pretty lightweight! The carseat seems a bit heavy... but thats ok.. DH will be the one to move it/carry it, so I can't complain :winkwink:

well made and robust, but bulky! carrycots are tiny, so not able to use for long, and being so compact and warm lined they would be stuffy in warm weather.

I actually just went and bought that very on today! Went home and built it, well my mum did, and its brill. yeah the carry cot wont be used for very long, but the lie flat option is great. and i think if it is slightly large for a young baby for the pushchaiur part, i have plents of blankets and that to make sure she is nice a comfy. it is large but it is sturdy, i'd rather have large and sturdy than thin light and flimsy!!

Its lovely, and a bargain!
got it for babiesrus and it was the last one there, but the box had been slightly damaged, which caused damage to the parent tray, it was a tiny scratch and the woman has ordered a new one for us, free of charge. :)

xx

I had this in June 2009 the summer was so hot my newborn was only in a vest! The carrycot wasnt too hot it was perfect! i loved her being all enclosed in the carrycot until she was about 16 weeks! I also loved the fact people didnt know where she was once the hood was over hehe
It is a bit heavy and if you need a section id be wary but thats only lifting it in and out of the car to push around its no problem!
Its a lovely pram which i felt LO was very safe in! I LOVE the one hand unfold/fold too!!!!
The only fault i can give it is its forward facing for toddler stage and i want parent facing so we got another pushchair for that xx

I was looking at the next one up as my fav so far the sport one hold on let me get link

I have searched online for reviews etc on these styles and they are good but everyone has said they are bulky and heavy and also the car seat is very small!

I am going to look around but this in the one i like so far for the style and price! the good thing about the sport one is it comes with a car seat clip base so you can attach the base to your car permanently (well for as long as you need a car seat) and then just clip the car seat in and out. and im pretty sure the woman at babies r us said that all graco car seats fit in it so when baby grows out of that one you can get another.

I tried to push the chair at the store and it was really nice to push but I didnt try to poick it up stupidly so im going to go back to try that as i am weak!!! LOL x

i would like this one if i can get the money for it its like 300 quid
Silver Cross 3D Complete Pram & Pushchair System - Charcoal x

I had a graco for my 1st baby and hated it with a passion, so bulky and heavy and the wheels where crap:growlmad:. I used it for 4 months then got a new pram
