Treatment for yeast infection?!HELP!

Im a little over 11 weeks pregnant and I have a yeast infection. I just got off of a antibiotic for a uti and now I have a yeast infection from it...what can I take to get rid of it at 11 weeks pregnant?I dont want to call into my doctors office since its not really a emergency but I have to do something!HELP!

You should read my post. canesten 6 and monistat 7 are both fine but do not use canesten it won't rid it completely. i find monistat 7 is alot better. I'm using it right now. It sucks, the same happened to me. I hope yours isn't as severe as mine was.

So your doctor said the monistat 7 was safe to use during pregnancy?I just freak out about taking anything and now this is miserable!

Yes and I called motherisk too, just to be sure. And both are fine to take during pregnancy.

I went to the docs and got the treatment for free.. prescriptions are free during pg -- sorry your not in the uk so that advice is rubbish! If you can buy over the counter treatment buy it and double check with motherisk for peace of mind.. x

Monistat vaginal suppositories should be fine, though be sure to get the 7 day one bc the 3 and 5 days ones are never as effective.

It's very common to get a yeast infection after being on Antibiotics bc it changes the pH of the vaginal area. No worries! Get yourself the medicine and get some relief.

the BEST treatment is a little bit of white vinegar in bath water. clears up the infection RIGHT away and its super pregnancy safe! My doc recommended it and the infection was gone in 24 hours!

I had one in my 7th week of this pregnancy. The dr. recommended Monistat 7 and it worked immediately. Just make sure you take the full cycle so it doesn't flare back up.

Eat plenty of natural yogurt!! And even put some down there... it worked for me. Cleared mine up perfectly! I heard it's just a wives tail but it actually worked.

I am hesitant to use anything other than natural remedies. Ill also keep the vinegar bath in mind if it happens again!

I guess though mine wasn't a really bad case. Hope you get it sorted soon!

I agree....get a syringe like a medicine syringe and put some plain yogurt in and squirt some in the vagina like monistat 7 and it will clear it right up!!! You can also eat yogurt and it will help!!!

Agreeing with the yogurt suggestion. Eat it and put it down there. You can also take acidophilus tablets if you don't care for yogurt. Basically, both methods restore your body's natural good bacteria to fight the bad stuff.

Thanks everyone for your answers.I bought the monistat 7 and have started that...its just so gross. I am thinking of possibly trying the white vinegar bath too but im hesitant about it just because of how strange it seems lol Also what yogurt did you use when you put some "up there"? I have some vanilla yoplait yogurt but thats it?!

I did plain yogurt but you could use the vanilla...It is thicker than the monistat and is not as gross feeling...put a panty liner on also...The vinegar burned me, but everyone is different. Hope you feel better soon!!!

If your going to do the yogurt dont do the vanilla, it has sugar in it and yeast thrive on sugar and grow with it. Use plain yogurt only. I choose not to do this because of the mess and I don't trust it. The monistat is working for me, and my infection was so severe that I bled from inflammation and the swelling was so bad and painful.
