tree seeds

I'm wanting to give a little pouch of compost and a tree seed as my favours, but I'm struggling to find tree seeds anywhere. Ideally I would want acorns or conkers, but it's too late to get them myself from the park. Does anyone know where I could find native tree seeds?

To plant either acorn or conker trees you plant the actual conker/acorn itself. So I imagine to buy these specific 'seeds' it'll be at the time when they fall from their trees (Fall)

Where in actual fact you could collect them yourself, but when is your wedding etc??
