trouble with avatar picture

I have tried two different pictures now, they are both small, well within the parameters. I can see it when I go to my profile but not when I make posts. Anyone have any ideas? Please?

Theres two things you can upload, one is your profile picture the other is avatar, it confused me when i first joined lol x
