Yes, it can. Progesterone is what causes your temperature in your second half of your cycle to go up. Which shows ovulation. Which is why I am thinking I am not ovulating. Between that and the fact my opk has been negative.

My opks have always been reliable. They have always matched what ff says.

Yes, no clomid this cycle. But today I have been considering it. I'm getting impatient. I haven't ovulated since my September cycle.

hi, I, ttc #2 after a long struggle with #1. He is 10 months now but we started NTNP right away in hopes it would happen soon. Just a referral to specialist last week. Fx.

Oh I was just trying to shoot for a November due date. But I think I have decided to just try for the next two cycles. And if nothing give my doctor a call. I think he said I could try for three but I would rather to talk to him if two fail as I also had a failed clomid cycle in August. We got pregnant first cycle with DS so hoping it won't take more than the next two to get pregnant.

Yea, DH and BIL both have birthdays in October. And at first DH was resistant to an Oct due date. But he has come around. We also have friends that both have their birthdays, one daughter and their anniversary in October. So it is a busy month!! But screw that, a baby is a baby and it doesn't matter what else is going on in the month. Other than Christmas, I am really really really trying to avoid a December baby.

I remember being disappointed DS was due in July. Now it is like my favorite month because it is special to me.

But I actually think it could be good. The weather will be cooling down but not cold yet so I could still get out with the kiddos and do some fun stuff. Honestly, I am starting to get to the point I don't care about due dates. I just want to get pregnant.

Yes a little bit biased! The only thing about October due dates is it is pretty close to Christmas so for financial reasons it's a bit tricky, and if they get clothes as gifts there's a big gap in the summer where you have to buy the clothes! I'm a November baby though and I've actually always loved having a birthday in 'party season'! I think you do get to the point where you just want to get pregnant regardless of due date!

My sister's son was also born in October. I didn't think his birthday was to close to the holidays. If I did get pregnant next month it would be an early/mid November due date so still not bad.

I am so over this cycle. I am now getting pains in my ovary area (yesterday and this morning). But negative opks. And my temp shot up this morning. I have always been told progesterone will halt ovulation. Now I am just confused. Without the positive opk I am thinking I am not ovulating, which makes me wonder if its a cyst. When I got a cyst in August I had to take the next month off because it was so painful.

I would love a baby around the holidays, what a sweet present!

I tested yesterday morning and also this morning, huge BFN's. lol. Stark white. I woke up strangely nauseated this morning, but I also had fireball last night...so...LMAO. My fingers are still crossed but i'm trying not to get my hopes up with this particular cycle

It's a waiting game for now. AF due in approx 2 days, so we'll see.

I don't know if I mentioned it or not, but in Nov we had a chemical. So my cycles may be trying to adjust still. Not sure.

And speaking of alcohol, I think i'm going to stop buying it now that we are TTC. No alcohol will certainly help, right? The Fireball is all gone, and we have 1 bottle of sake that's been sitting on the counter for like 4 months xD We'll see. I do like my beer.

What are ya'll thoughts on alcohol while TTC?

No alcohol will definitely help. My only problem with this is that if you like a drink (like I do!) and it takes a long time to conceive then you have 9 (more like 10!) months of pregnancy, then if you breastfeed you can't really drink that much so it could be a looooong time before you have a drink again. My plan is to not drink in the week and just have a bit at the weekend. I've recently done slimming world so I've kind of got used to it being a treat rather than all the time and I'm not putting my life on hold for ttc as no idea how long it will take

That's a great idea.

I breastfed for nearly 5 years and didn't ever drink during that time except for an odd glass of wine or beer like once per year. LMAO.

I drink a bottle of wine through my period. Outside of that I typically don't drink at all. But that is just me. I am not a big fan. If I am in the tww I don't drink. But sometimes if it is before that and I am out or with friends I might have a drink.

I don't drink much anyway
But I wouldn't drink during ov or tww
But I would hve one if I wanted during first ten days
But its just so if I had another mc, i know I did nothing I could reproach myself for
