Trying immediately after d&c

Hi ladies,
Is anyone trying before first af after d&c?? I lost our first in December, and bleed for 8 weeks, last weekend after having severe bleeding and clotting I had to have a d&c. My hcg is 0. I really want to try before first af because I feel like I have been waiting so long! What do you think? Are any of you going this route?

I had a natural mc at 13 weeks baby stopped at 7 weeks. Iv caught pregnant before my first af so totally possible xxx

Ok so here's my two cents...What did your dr advise you to do? Mine said to wait 2 cycles for the lining to build up. Yes you can and people do get pregnant and have healthy babies immediately following a mc but I would listen to your dr bc every mc is different. If your dr gave you the go ahead to get pregnant as soon as you're ready I would say to wait at least until you had 1 period but thats what I would do....I wish you good luck and hope the next baby sticks!!

Ob said 1 month but my midwife said when ever I am ready! Is there truly a risk or is it just for dating purposes

My midwife told me to wait one cycle. I think it's mainly to be able to accurately date the pregnancy. It will be one week tomorrow after d&c and my bf and I are ready to start trying again. I'm not sure what I will do, I'm having a hard enough time waiting two weeks for bd. We'll see what happens, I know it is possible and I don't want to wait but I also want to know how far along I am right away instead of guessing and not knowing for sure.

I was told by an ob/gyn, a doctor and a matron that I could ttc straight away. They all said one cycle is recommended for dating purposes but that there is no evidence of there being a greater risk of miscarriage if you get pregnant before first af.
However I'm a great believer in our own bodies. They know when we're ready. I had a mmc. I found out at the 12 Week scan and had an erpc 7 weeks later. I'd decided to ntnp before af but I never ovulated. It was my body's of saying it's not ready.
ultimately do whatever you feel emotionally ready for.
With my previous losses I was earlier in pregnancy and I ovulated straight away.
I've just had my first af. I'm hoping I o this cycle.

Thanks spudtastic, I have been using opks but have not gotten a positive yet so I might be in the same boat as you.... I also had a mmc but found out at 9 weeks, took misoprostal and didn't stop bleeding for 8 weeks finally had a d&c 2 weeks ago. I hope we all get good news soon!!

Uggh first timer that sounds horrible. I hope you're recOvering well. I only bled two weeks before the erpc and that was enough. I'm hoping this doesn't happen again but if it does I'm going straight in for thd op.

I've heard mixed info as well, however as a pp mentioned, our bodies need time to heal. When yiu have a d&c they completely scrape the lining, which then takes longer to heal than a natural mc. I've had 2 d&cs and with the first I didn't get af for 5 weeks, for the second it was 2. While I don't think there's anything wrong eith TTC right away, I would try to keep in mind that you need tog ive your uterus time to rebuild and be strong enough to support another pregnancy (as much as we don't want to hear it)
