Yea surprises are good. I had a little idea when my hubby was going to propose but it was still just as amazing lol.

Well I think AF is finally nearly here after being 8 days late, finally get cycle 14 underway. Also doing my third attempt at getting my progesterone checked.

I'm waiting for AF as well. About a week to go. OH is taking his sample to the labs tomorrow then we wait. He asked me tonight if I will leave him if it turns out he's infertile and can't have kids. That broke my heart.

Thank you me to lol. First test showed really low progesterone but the doctor thinks it was done to early and as AF still hasn't arrived properly yet, it was! Lol x

Yes that was done early. I have fingers crossed that you're going to have beautiful results next time.

Is there anything besides regular vitamins that males can take to increase sperm count?

I was told Brazil nuts were ment to be good for a mans swimmers because it's a good natural source of Selenium, that's ment to help with count and motility. I got my husband some but I read on the interment that your not ment to have to much Selenium so only eat about 2 nuts a day. The Wellman vitamins he takes already has Selenium in them so he doesn't really bother now with the nuts, maybe has 1 every now and then, but if your guys vitamins don't have that in them then maybe look into some nuts? X

Our lab had my DH give his sample at the lab sense they required it within 20 minutes but every lab is different. When we got his results back he was very upset and told me we should divorce so I could have kids. Took a while for him to calm down. But looks like he might not be our only problem, got my 21 day labs back and my progesterone was really low, so I might not even have ovulated this cycle which is why I got + opks and another peak on my monitor 6dpo my body was trying to go again. Just gonna wait until AF shows up then going to be taking progesterone and probably clomid. Just hope AF shows up soon (never thought I would be saying that)

Hi there!

I am also 22, and my DH is 31. He was married for 3 years and had no children with her. Though, I don't think they were actively ttc.

I am not sure that he has fertility issues, but he does have performance issues due to ED. He has a Dr. appt this coming tuesday to hopefully recieve some help.

I also just ordered him FertilAid for men so that maybe that will help his counts. We need all the help we can get!

We got pregnant last year, but the pregnancy ended in an early miscarriage. This month is our first month TTC. We only got to BD one time this past cycle, and I am now in the TWW. I am doubtful, but trying to remain optimistic.

I'm pretty sure on our SA letter it said to deliver the sample within two hours of it being done, the hospital we have to take it to is 40 mins drive away so I'm sure an hour will be fine.

The Dr emailed and said that he got the results back and they not bad at all. He wants me to go in so we can discuss further treatment and the results . So we will see what happens from there.

Phew! I can finally relax. Was at my best friend's 4 year old daughter's birthday party. It was Sophia the first theme so of course I had to wear a crown and feel fabulous even though the day was filled with screaming(and crying) hyper kids lol.

I went to see the doctor earlier today and he went over the results with us. OH has 25.2 million sperm per millimeter but he says that only 37% are viable. The sperm seem to be sluggish as well and don't move very fast. He has prescribed Sperm Aid and Tribulous(which apparently male body builders use). We haven't done tests from my side but he wants me to come in for injections on CD9 when my next cycle starts. He didn't really say what for exactly but it's to boost ovulation apparently. So that's all for me.

That's good your OH has been prescribed something that can help, is it ment to boost count or help with motility? interesting that bodybuilders use it, I will have to look into that.
How do you feel about the results?

I'm still waiting for AF to arrive, iv had very light spotting for about 4 days now, it just needs to hurry up! x

Hey hun! I'm relieved as I expected worse.

It's to help with the count and motility because a man's sperm count can go into the 200 million range. Maybe put your OH on tribiulus as it helps them with producing testosterone which of course produces sperm. This is what the doctor told me at least.

So glad that everything turned out good Im going to be starting progesterone next cycle. Really hope that it works my doctor is sure that with him taking fertilaid and me on this we should be pregnant within 6 months!! Yay! Also DH has gone a week without drinking . Oh I feel like I'm on a roll lol

Mrshopful, I'm hoping neither of our journeys will be too much longer. It just worries me because his ex didn't get pregnant in 3 years of unprotected sex and she now has two kids with another man. Then again, he drank a lot back then and now drinks maybe twice a month if we're having a braai(similar to a BBQ lol). So we will see if the vitamins maybe help as well. The Dr told me that the one patient he saw had a count of 500 000 per millimeter and with meds, he was able to get his wife pregnant so there's hope no matter what

Swimmy, It's great that your Dr is so positive! I'm so routing for you and your DH! It's great that he hasn't had a drink in a week, it's so helpful when it comes to the sperm count. Does he drink coke or coffee often? We were suggested to cut down on coffee(maybe change to decaff) and coke as caffeine is tough on the sperm.

I was thinking of testing this cycle even though I don't have much hope just because I have so many tests to pee on lol.

Cathiinoo try not to worry to much about that, like you said he drank a lot more back then and also we wasn't on any medication to help. Now that you both know what the problem is you can focus on that and get a BFP in know time! I find it always helps to hear a success story to lol.

Good news this morning though, AF has finally arrived! Hopefully cycle 14 will be a stress free one lol x

I am pretty sure AF is on her way. In August, It works Out that I have two fertile weeks since AF is at the end of July. Maybe August will be our month!
