Trying to conceive after Etopic and tube removal

So glad those numbers are coming down for you. Still blows my mind that it has taken that long! I think an hsg after you have had time to heal is a really good plan. I’ve read it can also clear any blockage as well. It was on the table for me when ttc my 2nd youngest but ended up pregnant the last cycle before avoiding in order to have the hsg done lol. I’ll hope the same for you :flower:

Hi everyone,

I am now working with a fertility clinic. I’m nervous but also oh so very ready to figure out what is going on with my body.

I have never been to a fertility clinic before but o am having faith in the process. I am currently waiting for my hcg to reach 0 and for my cycle to start so I can begin the initial testing.

I will be getting my next blood work for hcg on Friday so I’m truly hoping it will be at 0. Wish me luck.

If anyone has any advice in regards to etopics or fertility treatment please feel free to share.

thinking of you on your newest journey :hugs: I would request an hsg first and foremost to make sure your tube is in good condition, potentially cleared out even. Hope things go smoothly to get your rainbow x

I had my bloodwork done yesterday and I am now at 65.

Trying to stay strong and focus on the positives but I really want this to be over so I can truly begin healing.

Today I had my bloodwork done and my hcg level is now at 50. I am truly over this process and just want to be done with it.

I understand my body needs to heal but there is no explanation as to why my hcg level is taking forever to get to zero. It just frustrates me because the highest it ever got was to 3912…so why so long to get to 0.

I was hoping to try to conceive again in September but I have to take folic acid for three months first and I can’t take folic acid until my hcg is at 0.

I will continue to update just in case anyone ever goes through something similar. Thank you to everyone that has been supportive

I’m so sorry this has been such a long and exhausting process. I can’t give any advice to speed it up, but you aren’t alone and we’re always here for support.

Wow, I’m flabbergasted that your hcg still isn’t 0. I’m so sorry you’re going through this :hugs:

Thank you @Jules8 for the support I truly appreciate it.

@Momof2onetube I know I would have never thought it would take so long.

It’s crazy how I went weeks hoping and praying for my hcg levels to rise as expected just to end up hoping they would go away.

I have another blood draw next week. I truly believe this will be the last one as I POAS this morning and it was a vvvfl.

I can’t even imagine :hugs: I didn’t have a fighting chance at trying the methotrexate with my one and only ectopic, counting my blessings though. I still can’t believe it’s gone on this long. What does your doctor say? Super curious because I thought it was typically resolved by 2 months max. Crossing everything you’re at 0 next week x

Hi everyone, I’m back again lol it isn’t funny but at this point I have to laugh to keep myself from crying.

This ectopic pregnancy has most definitely taken a toll and is dragging on. I don’t know the reason but I am going to trust in the process.

My last few blood draws have only had a minimal reduction in hcg but they will not give another dose of methotrexate.

An ultrasound was conducted and the cystic structure has gotten smaller so they don’t have any immediate concerns.

The doctors are even baffled as to why it is taking so long for the hcg to clear my system. I have another blood draw at the end of the week. I will update after I receive my results.

I decided to do a hpt today and for the most part it is negative. I swear in person there is a slight gray line but I can deal with that as it means I’m almost at the end.

Baffled is an understatement on my end. I can’t believe you’re STILL on this journey. You are one strong woman, hats off to you! I hope you’re blessed with your rainbow sooner than later when you are ready to ttc again :hugs:

The management of the ectopic pregnancy has finally came to an end after months of follow up. I have finally been discharged from the early pregnancy unit.

Below are all hcg levels in case anyone ever has a similar situation they can still have hope. I felt defeated the whole time because there wasn’t anyone that I could find that had their hcg level drag out for so long.

Now I know it can take months and still be on the right track to healing.

I had a bleed May 31st which I counted as my cycle. I started testing with ovulation test just to see what my body was doing. (Tests are posted as well view files)

The Premom and CBDA both lined up accurately as when Premom was high my CBDA gave me a PEAK. The Peak lasted about 3 days (used multiple CBDA holders).

I also tracked bbt with FF app (review files for temp chart) but it says I ovulated June 24th. I’m not too sure as to when I ovulated or if I did for sure but I am hoping my body is returning to normal.

It sounds like you're going through a tough journey, but staying positive and proactive with tracking your ovulation is a great step. I really hope you get that big positive result soon, and that everything works out as planned!

i got a positive December 6th and have been taking 48 hr bloodwork until we can confirm baby is in the right place this time. So far none of my numbers have actually doubled so I’m not sure how this will turn out
