My husband & I have officially been TTC for a year. I will be 24 this year, so I am SUPER stressed that something is wrong because I am young. We went to my normal OBGYN yesterday to talk about why I am not conceiving. He ran some blood work and said my progesterone levels are fine, but I did not ovulate last month. And this makes me really confused. I have a period every 28-29 days so I assumed in order to be having a period that meant you were ovulating. My OBGYN was super useless, so I have decided to go see a fertility specialist next week. I just felt like my OBGYN should have done more.

HELP!!

Hi jordan, you are definitely not very young to conceive. Twenty four is a good age if you guys think you can afford a baby don't care what others say. Also i would suggest that you start charting your basel body temperature from next month. Its the cheapest method that can really tell you if you have ovulated that particular cycle.

check out fertilityfriend.com you will find out all the information you need on BBT charting. GL x

Hi Jordan, I'm chance, I'm also 23. I just wanted to put your mind at ease.. I've been trying to conceive since I was 20 after an unplanned pregnancy which, unfortunately ended up me having a miscarriage. I obviously don't have anything wrong with me because I've conceived before but it's just not happening for me now that I'm actually trying. I hope your meeting with the FS goes well. Good luck xx

Hey Jordan, being in your 20's is a good thing for ttc, so I wouldn't blame that. As for ovulating, I've heard it's pretty common to not ovulate with every cycle. What the doctor needs to figure out is if you are ovulating at all.

Good luck with your appointment next week! I hope it goes better for you.

:hi: Hi Jordan. Relax sweetheart. I am 24. Started TTC and 21 and QUIT. I completely gave up and went back to BC. My TTC journal is below, which will show you what happened 3 years ago (as I started my journal then) and what is going on now (I'm just coming back to BnB). I got frustrated and flat out gave up. Don't do this. Our problems, I am sure, is not the same. I was on Depo and after TTC for 10 months it still did not work. My cycles weren't normal either. Your problem can very well be stress. TTC can be affected mentally as well. Your body sends signals to the brain. Stress can deactivate and overactivate some signals. These signals may inturn throw off your body's normal balance. Aside from stress, diet can also be a factor. Also not BD'ing at and around the right times can also have an impact. I was told not to "overdo" baby dancing as you both may wear down and unfortunately it may not be a favorable sperm environment for you (or his swimmers can decrease in numbers). Try telling yourself you will not give it too much thought for one week coming up on ovulation. Be romantic and give time to fall in love and "make love" again. Routine can also be a problem. Relax, it will be OK. If you need someone to talk to I am here...

Thanks so much! I just feel like I am too young for it to be taking this long, especially since my sister pops babies out like candy! haha
