i purchased a tt explora cup at the weekend and wondered when i should try my lo with it. she's 4 months but i think it's a bit too soon to try as she's not very accurate with her hands yet (except when they're going in her mouth). when did you all try moving on from bottles to ones your lo could try and hold themselves.

i never gave them a cup until they were drinking water when i started weaning
i guess you could try, is it for milk though? i always think at 4 months they should still have bottles for milk

its for milk and wouldnt be a regular thing; just to have a go really

I saw cups that said 4m+, and asked my HV about them when Ruby was 4m. She said not to bother yet at it could confuse LO. I started Ruby with a Doidy cup for water at 6 months.
It's fine for them to drink milk from bottles until they are one, at which point it's best to try and encourage all drinking to be from a cup.
