Hey girls. I'm new to this forum and new to ttc! I just stopped my bcp on feb. 8th and would love advise on how long it too to have normal ovulation? Also, there are a lot of opinions out there on "saving up" sperm b4 ovulation, laying there for a few minutes, positions. What works?! I'm open to suggestions and about dying trying to keep this a secret!

hello this is my first month actually ttc

i tried the legs in the air and then laying for however long after it works for some people and it really cant hurt! lol as for "saving up" sperm i wouldn't its better to have sex either everyday or every other saving them up doesn't do anything because they die after so many days

try dtd everyday or every other day a few days before you O and and a few after try the or the smep plan https://spermmeetseggplan.com/ make sure to buy opks and that its the right kind for you

and most importantly have fun and relax!!! its very easy to get caught up in all the little details and start to stress yourself out

I came off birth control in oct and the process has been frustrating. My cycles have been really long and I've only had 2 periods in 4 months, so it's hard to know when I ovulated. I'm going to start taking ovulation tests this month. Hopefully for ur self it won't be as bad and they sort themselves out pretty soon. I was on the pill for 6 years so that may have a lot to do with it. Hope this helps.

I know! I thought I knew everything and then googled a little, and there are so many opinions out there!
We've just been having fun and dtd every day, if my cycles resume as normal then I'm about to ovulate. Hoping for the best! What period tracker do you girls use? I downloaded pink pad for my phone and have been using that. I check a few others out, but they all seemed the same.

I've been on the pill religiously since I was 17 (almost 26), so I know there's a chance it could take a few moths to level out! Did you have regular af when you were taking bcp?

I was on the pill, so had a period on every 7 day break. I went on the pill when I was 17 also and can't remember how regular they were before. Hoping they sort themselves out soon though!

I hope yours do too! Mine were regular, but I think short (like 21 days apart) if I remember correctly so I know it's probably hit or miss this month, but hoping to have a more accurate prediction after this month, I'm not a very patient person

I'm not patient either, especially see as me and my partner have only got a couple months of trying left for while. We get married end of next year and obviously I want time to slim back down so we said we would give in until may latest. I really don't want to have to wait two and half more years to have a baby though

I totally get that. I've been married for 6 years, but I have friends that have had to push back weddings because of babies. What has your experience been so far (if you don't mind me asking)? Have you talked to your gyno since you time frame is limited? Are you using opk?

I'm going to use opk this month as i think that's been the problem of not being able to pin point it. My doctor told me there wasn't much they could do yet as it's the pill coming out of my system, it messes it up.
