TTC after Having Tubes Repaired or due to have, Who's with me on this journey?

Yes I have fallen pregnant twice when away so I think I must stress myself out when I'm trying!

 Hello Ladies, i have set this Thread up and not even been here to chat to you all, i do apologize please forgive me. :flower:

I'm here now :haha:

This is my 1st cycle ttc after my operation, i'm confused to why my chart has gone awol, but hey ill soon find out why. My crosshares has gone again. we've done all we can do now this month and we're back at the hospital to see the fertility specialest on 24th December, lets hope its good news by then, i'm surrounded by babies. I was in work today ( the the hospital on a a cardiac surgery ward, turn around and there we go, another baby  i so hope this works for us ladies! :hugs:

Nikki Hey Hun, By the time you read this you would have had your op, i hope everything has gone well for you and your not in too much pain :hugs: next month we can be cycle buddies :flower:
I am extremely sorry to hear about your losses, i couldn't imagine the pain of having to go through what you have. :hugs:

I am glad you got a second opinion, i am glad i did too otherwise i wouldn't have been here now. Anything we don't like to hear, get a second opinion :winkwink:
Awe thank you Nikki, i think it wil be a lovely thing to do for a couple like us that are struggling for whatever reason. I have filled in my 16 page application for the private clinic, now its a waiting game for the consultation.
Thinking of you luv, let us know how you go as soon as you can x

Ariannda

Welcome to the thread hun, lovely to have you on our journey :flower:
wow 4 children, you re blessed :happydance: .... I don't understand why FS like to to send you off to IVF without checking other sources first, it really annoys me!
Both my tubes were blocked distally, and reopened and sutured open, what did you mean they couldn't do anything for it hun?
Well here's to our Nov Trying :hugs:

ladyluck84

 Lovely to have you join us on this tread, i am hoping we can be a great support for one another.
Firstly, i'd just like to say i'm sorry for your losses :hugs: secondly, don't let the info you have read make you think anything other than the facts. You can always believe what you read hunni. Stress, worry, scar tissue, previous infection can cause us problems without us even knowing. 10 years an no pregnancy for me, its only this year i found out it was my tubes. My advice to you, keep pushing for the FS, demand them check. Have yo had your hormones checked ect and all with your doc? I think the rules around most things are crazy, they are very  in there theories. I'm hoping you get some answers soon.. you can just cycle with us each month :winkwink:

Would you not consider the egg-sharing program we have here in the uk?

kezza2012

:happydance: Looks like i have another lady with me on the recovery ttc path :winkwink: How are you feeling now luv? have you managed to start ttc? Its exciting when you hear them words from your FS, makes you feel like your getting somewhere doesn't it? I wish you all the luck... Oh excited :flower:

Misshydra

 Welcome to the Thread, Good Luck for your surgery next week, after reading about what your going through i can understand the urgency to get it sorted, Our bodies are amazing, whod think that you can have all this going on and never know. I have everything crossed for you :flower:

DSemcho

 Welcome and thank you for sharing your story with us. I am sorry to hear about your losses, i couldn't begin to imagine your pain :flower:
As us women know, PID can cause damage to our Tubes and Fimbrea etc, unfortunately we will never know unless we have a Lap. Its really upsetting because its nothing we have done, its just our bodies trying to protect from any form of bacteria :growlmad:
I too had PCOS for years, but when i got with my Hubby everything went back to normal, balanced hormones and no cysts :happydance: i couldn't believe it... He told me .... I've fixed you, bless him :flower:

I have been warned the tubes can close back up and i'm high risk on eptopic, but i try not to think about that, anything is possible.
I really hope you get answers luv, we all deserve this so much :dust:
Ivf is so expensive, ithink its really unfair how they do it over here in the uk. But hopefully none of us will need it :hugs:

Hello, lovely to have you with us. I searched high and low and couldn't find anything relating to me so i started this thread hoping some could share my journey with me. I have see some lovely ladies above join, we can all help and support each other through this hard, stressful time...
The secret key luv is stay as positive and calm as you can, you body reacts to stress and worry. Think positive, be positive, pee positive. This ttc has to be enjoyable, we have to relax.:flower:

Its been 8 weeks since my operation and my first ttc cycle with open tubes, yes i am worried slightly, but i've had 10 years experience with the disappointing :bfn: I do have one 13 year old son though so i am blessed.
This will happen for you, it will for all of us. You can come on here and tell us about you day or compare notes, its nice to have someone to talk to, someone who understands what your going through too..Good Luck Hunni, were all here now :happydance:

Am i the only one who has had her stomach cut open for this tubal surgery??? Everyone seems to be having Laps  confused... My FS said it was best to open you up because they can get to them better  confused....

is anyone else in the uk like me & Lady luck.. I have 2 sisters with PCOS and one tube, both have 4 children now.. one tube is enough x

Well that is enough from me, you poor ladies have some reading in this post.

:hugs:

I too was cut open and have a scar. Yes had hormones checked and actually had them done again Thursday (21 day progesterone) then if I haven't come on again next Thursday. Then having testosterone and rubella check on the 1-3 days if my cycle....yep pin cushion

It's nice to hear that someone else just randomly went back to normal when meeting someone who made them happy!! I don't feel like a strange anomoly like the doctor's look at me like!! I've been told putting your body under high stress (such as surgery) can make your BBT's wonky so that is a good explination. And I can definitely agree with being surrounded by babies, yesterday my friend announced she had her baby that day (when we went to the doctor) and had been posting pictures all day long. What kind of operation did you have?

The fertility doctor told us yesterday that both tubes are closed, the left one seems to be stuck to itself, but I'm hoping that they just closed temporarily because of how much pain I was in. I've read that it can happen. Over here in Turkey IVF is rather cheap ($3200 - $3700 for procedure, exam fee and medications) which is why we are going to do the one round. The doctor is telling us it's our only option, but when my Serrapeptase and Castor Oil comes in I'm going to be trying those natural methods to see if it helps. My DH is still going to be taking vitamins and even if IVF doesn't work we will try on our own for a little bit until we get to a base where they CAN and WILL do a laproscopic on me. He has even heard of two bases in the states that do IVF for free for Military Members so we may look into that if we can.

Hello :flower:

compared to last week I am feeling GREAT lol, I still get a few niggles every now and then but I guess that it to be expected after having all my bits played about with lol.

We havnt TTC since, because I have been on antibiotics for an infection that caused my adhesions, so wanted to clear that up first and make sure OH isn't carrying this same infection! lol
I am getting really impatient though and ever so slightly frustrated :haha:

I am also in the UK, where abouts are you? im in SE London xx

No I don't think I could do egg sharing. I'm so desperate that I want to keep hold of them all.... After 2 losses i feel i have the right to be greedy. My parents have very generously said they will help us out financially if it does get to that. I'm hoping it will happen for us before that really

Hi ladies, well I had my surgery yesterday, but it didn't go well. Once my doc actually got in there he found that my tube is closed where it's supposed to connect to my uterus. And said it looks like it's a deformity from birth, and because of that there's just no way to open it. So, at my post op appointment we are going to have to discuss an ivf plan.

I'm ok with ivf, but I'm just having a hard time thinking that bd'ing will never again lead to a pregnancy for us. But, I know things could always be worse, so I'm trying to keep my head up.

Blue sorry to hear your news. At least you know now and can start moving forward with you ivf plans. What did hubby say?

Thank you ladyluck84. My dh was a little upset, he didn't understand why the docs couldn't see what the problem was with my tube without doing surgery. He would have rather conceived naturally, but he's okay with ivf since it's our only option now. We may egg share as well, it will help lower the cost dramatically, from what I've heard. And we could be helping someone at the same time :flower:

Dsemcho, thank you so much! :flower:

Hey ladies. I'll be stalking this thread but won't be posting much as I can't relate fully yet. OH and I have been TTC for 24 months without any luck, my cycles last upwards from 4-7 months. My Doctor believes it is due to blocked tubes but I haven't had a lap or HSG yet. I've been waiting since June to see a specialist in December who will decide the next course of action.

Good luck everyone <3 I'll be stalking your journeys.

Wow... I can't even remember how long my longest cycle was, but I do know in high school I had a period that last 6 months... No joke I bled everyday for 6 months. I hope you get some answers soon!!!!!

Blue I know how you feel, me and DH recently found out that IVF is basically our only option. I don't know if egg share is an option ere to make it cheaper, but I'm definitely going to ask.

kezza2012

Glad things went well for you hun, i have everything crossed for you :flower:. Where are you in your cycle now hun? I'm in the North West: I totally understand, i have been charting and bd'ing as expected and can feel AF coming now, so i'm disappointed and really want to:cry:

ladyluck84

Awe bless you, i totally understand, some people would find it difficult to share to, especially if it worked for the recipient and not the other. At lease you have financial help if needed. Its so expensive isn't it! :flower:

blue33

massive :hugs: i am so sorry to hear your news! You keep your head up though, its not the end of the road, you will have your beautiful baby soon. :flower: Were all here to help and support you. I too am thinking IVF is my only option, even after my surgery with teh success rate being so low .

IVF is looking more for us too, i am going to do the egg share program, and like you said, its helping someone else too. I have already set the wheels in motion for that tho as the background checks, various tests, and counselling etc as it is a long process they told me. We don't want to do ivf untill summer next year so i decided to do egg donation with my private clinic help a few other couples and shorten our wait time when we are ready as most of the tests would have been done. We cant wait

I'm just waiting now to come on because i know its going to happen, which is upsetting. I hate the disappointment it makes you feel when you have longed for so any years.

Ivf is so expensive!! It was hard to believe when I first heard the cost!!

Lea,

Thank you! I really thought I would be a little depressed once the meds from surgery wore off, but I'm actually doing really well. I think finally knowing what's going on and knowing for sure what our next step is actually is a big relief. Waiting is terribly hard though! I know we all just want a baby already!! Hopefully we'll all get our precious babies very soon!

Hey ladies. So I O'd either Friday or Saturday (was unable to do OPKs on those days and DH is complaining about being woken up at 8am for me to take my "vagina temperature" as he likes to say in front of PEOPLE! He also told me he might not wanna TTC or do IVF anymore because he wants to "have fun becaue he only has one life to live".. Boohoo like I don't have only one fucking life to live? What is he a soap opera??? He just wants to go party every weekend. >_< He's 28 years old... No more party for you!!

Ladies, did having the lap and dye screw with your cycle? I am cd40 atm, my cycles are usually about 32 days. Urg just want this cycle done with it so we can get down to business lol.

Af is either late or she has come early and been light and I havnt noticed as I only stopped bleeding from the lap a few days ago. Arrgg

Hi kezza, when I had my hsg test done af came early for me, and was really heavy
After the lap/hysteroscopy I just had af came early again and was my cramps were alot different. I know everyone's body reacts differently to things though.

Hopefully your cycle starts soon!
