TTC after losing our twins

In October 2010, my husband and I had twins who were born at 24weeks due to pre term labor and other complications. One of our sons lived for only two weeks and the other for 7weeks. We are now ready to start trying for another baby but we are having some trouble getting pregnant due to me having irregular periods.

So, my doc prescribed me Provera to get me to start my period and Clomid to help get me to ovulate. Well the provera didn't work so the doc told me to do a pack of birth control pill to regulate me and then start the provera once I start my period after finishing the pack. Has anyone heard of this? Also, if you have done this, did you have to take the entire pack or is it possible to only take two weeks worth and then achieve a period? Any answers would be great! I am anxious to get the show on the road and start the baby making!
