TTC/Pregnancy while Breastfeeding and Tandem Nursing: Information and Support

Anyone notice their breast feeling fuller instead of more empty? The last few days I feel more full, even though I only nurse morning and night. I can still get milk out so I know I haven't dried up yet

mine have definitly turned into preggo boobs the last couple of weeks, bigger and fuller.

Hi all, does any have experience with morning sickness medication while nursing? Really struggling with all day non stop sickness but dunno ifi'll be able to have meds whilst breast feeding x

I'm taking Zophran (Ondansetron is the generic) for morning sickness. I figured if it's safe for pregnancy, it's safe for nursing. I took it all nine months last time since the ms never really went away, just improved slightly after 20 weeks. This time, I'm slightly nauseous most all the time (and that's with the meds) but the vomiting seems to be controlled much better, for which I am very thankful.

Interesting the info that instant oats don't help with the supply. That's what I've been eating. I don't think I've noticed much or any improvement so I'll have to go with the whole oats. I ordered the More Milk Two. Thanks to whoever recommended that. So far my supply has only dropped a little; I'm hoping it doesn't drop much more. My ten month old still nurses a LOT, though he's been biting lately, and that coupled with my nipples being more sensitive from pregnancy does soften my resolve a little.

Nope. Apart from being full in the morning, my boobs are saggy, floppy breastfeeding boobs. Pregnancy hasn't changed them at all. Should it have? I thought it would have but it hasn't.

Thanks I think I'll see what my doctor says and hopefully get some meds. I am hardly eating and drinking and feel like my supply is rubbish at the moment, LO only feeds two or three times a day now at ten months and my boobs feel so empty - really worry if she's getting enough.

I have be ebf my ds for 13mnths now. Hes cut back to nursing just 4 times a day tho. I haven't had a period since he was born. when should i expect it? currently on the mini pill (not for much longer tho) :) ty!

There's no way of saying unfortunately. It's an individual thing. Apparently a quick drop in the number of feeds (especially over night,) can kickstart fertility, but there are no guarantees. Good luck!

Anyone start getting sore nipples when LO is feeding before they got a bfp? might just be his latch is off, but its started to feel like he's scratching me with his teeth whilst feeding lately

My friend had her AF return at 13-15 months (i can't remember exactly) and shortly after she wanted to TTC no.2, she has a fertility specialist who is very pro-breastfeeding and didn't want her to have to stop to TTC no.2 but she said not having an AF for 13 months wasn't good and that it really really should have returned by then breastfeeding or not.

i'm sure you'll find many opinions on here that differ, so this is just one that i have to share.

My AF returned when DS2 was 14 months and we concieved on the second cycle. I think the fertility specialist is so used to seeing abnormal cases and isn't in tuned with what normal looks like. It is normal when you are practicing ecological breastfeeding not to have AF return for 12+ months. Its usually a great way to naturally space children out without any artificial hormones. :flower:

Thanks! Well i also have pcos. and my periods were irregular with my dd. then after her they started to become a little more regular. i go get my yearly next month. just wanted to hear some advice and opinions! thanks! :)

Just curious since this is a thread of women living similarly to me...anyone NOT go a long time without AF? I always felt ripped off...even when I was tandem nursing I got it back around 7 months (anov. one cycle then ovulatory), but after my 3rd, when I was nursing THREE, it came back anov. at 3 months PP and was off and on from there until I started ovulating at 10 months PP. (and we bed share so we nurse around the clock, on demand)

I got mine back this last time around 5 months...

My AF returned at 6mo but my second cycle didn't turn up till 8mo. Then it was every 24-28day's.

Hi
Just after a bit of advice. My 22month old DD refused her bedtime feed tonight and I bawled my eyes out afterwards on poor hubby! She has just decided she wants to sleep in her big girl bed and I'm wondering if it's just the excitement of going to bed in her new bed (she is seriously excited) or if she is beginning to wean. I'm so not ready for her to wean :(

This was me 2 weeks ago, it wasn't that she was uninterested, it was that she was refusing to feed!!!! :-( the next day she was pretty much back to normal and it was a lot of emotion over nothing.

My implant is out and today we officially start TTC :>
