Hi ladies. Unfortunately my baby died on Monday being 15+2 weeks. I have not miscarried yet and waiting for medical management to be done. I have an appointment for Wednesday where I would be 16+4 weeks. Me and my partner have decided to ttc straight away. With this being a second tri loss, how long do I have to wait before ttc. Thank you Ladies x

Hi sweetpea. I am so sorry for your loss, what an awful time for you. Sending you my prayers. Not sure on the ttc front. I lost my baby at 9 weeks and had a D&C so was told to wait one cycle. It is probably different depending on gestation and which way you choose to manage your miscarriage. The hospital will give you lots of advice when you go. Take care of yourself x

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a second trimester missed miscarriage in March. I heard different time frames from so many different people. These were all people who were looking at my exact same chart with the exact same information. My regular OB told me to wait one cycle (so after first AF). The OB who performed the advanced D&E told me that we could try immediately following the post-surgery appointment (so like 2 weeks after the miscarriage). My regular primary care physician told me 3 months. My maternal fetal medicine specialist told me 6 months.

My DH and I just decided that we wanted to TTC right away. Unfortunately, it seems like my body doesn't agree with that plan. I honestly don't think that my body has hormonally balanced yet. Hopefully we'll get a BFP soon.

After our second tri loss I was told we 'should' wait for 1 cycle but that advice is so if you do conceive straight away they are able to date the pregnancy more easily. The doc also said he would prefer we wait 3 cycles but as I have endo (and our chances diminished each month) he understood why we probably wouldn't wait that long.

Our loss was March 22nd 2014 and I got a bfp on July 16th 2014.

Sorry for your loss. I hope you are successful soon. GL :hugs:

So sorry for your loss. :(

I lost my baby boy at 13 weeks back in November. Much like yellowgrey, I got different answers from different people. Many said 3 months and my high risk doctor said 6! Honestly, I planned to start trying right away. But I didn't get a d&c and just let it happen naturally...and that took almost 3 months! I think my case was odd and hopefully your body gets back to normal soon. Whatever you feel comfortable with is what you should do. I don't think there is any *proven* time limit, because if there were all doctors would be telling us the same thing. I got pregnant again about 4 months after my loss and am 19 weeks now. I know some women get pregnant sooner.

I hope you have your precious rainbow baby in your arms next year :hugs:

I lost 1 at 8 weeks and one at 13ish weeks. I went in at 16 weeks for a check up and scheduling gender scan and found out I had lost him. With my fist loss it took 4 months to become pregnant again with my second Im still trying for my rainbow. Both times I waited until my first AF then started TTC again. I am also taking Clomid.
