Tummy press?!

    What is it the doctor and midwife is feeling for when they press your tummy? I didnt ask incase i looked stupid lol This is my first baby :happydance:

    Hey! Usually they feel your tummy to see if they can feel the uterus above the pubic bone :) hth xxx

    lol you know I have this well before I was pregnant, and turned out all the other times I'm meant to be telling them if I feel any pain when they do it. Really? if you want to know that ask me! silly people. no idea now, I too am completely ignorant.

    It's called the fundus height, aka top of the womb. It is an indicator of the womb growing as it should :)
