What is it the doctor and midwife is feeling for when they press your tummy? I didnt ask incase i looked stupid lol This is my first baby

Hey! Usually they feel your tummy to see if they can feel the uterus above the pubic bone hth xxx

lol you know I have this well before I was pregnant, and turned out all the other times I'm meant to be telling them if I feel any pain when they do it. Really? if you want to know that ask me! silly people. no idea now, I too am completely ignorant.

It's called the fundus height, aka top of the womb. It is an indicator of the womb growing as it should
