I went to the toilet about 30 mins ago and noticed about 7/8 spots of a browny coloured blood on my jama bottoms ... I haven't had any bleeding or spotting until now and I'm 15 weeks. Just wanted your opinions on whether you think this is normal or is it something I should be worried about? I haven't had any cramping or a fever or anything like that, it's just the blood. I looked online and apparently bleeding in twin pregnancies is more common and nothing to worry about if it's a browny colour, but I'm still worried :( xx

id go to your doctors/ a+ e hun, i wouldnt want to take any chances, good luck i hope everything is okay xxx

Bleeding is more common in twin pregnancies and your right, brown blood is often nothing to worry about. But, any kind of bleeding should be checked. I think you should go to A&E, get checked, be told everything is fine, then go home and not have to worry anymore. Good luck hun. xx

I wouldn't take any chances hun. I spotted a few times with my daughter and everytime i went to the hospital to make sure she was okay. It will put your mind at rest if nothing else x

I had bleeding at 16wks i called my triage ward and they checked me out & baby out and all was fine but i agree with the ladies its best to get yourself checked out because each pregnancy is different and bleed is a different reason serious or not!! Hope all it well keep us updated hunni x

wts^^^ get it checked for peace of mind if nothing else hun good luck let us no your all ok x

bleeding is very common in twin pregnancies, but its still best to get it checked out. With twins they tend to re-scan you. Are you in the UK?

I had bleeding a lot from 15 weeks on, very very heavy bleeding, with gushes of blood (TMI) my babies were always fine and no cause was found, but i had to be scanned everytime, had my cervix checked and me more closely monitored.

Get checked out hun, im nearly 24 weeks now and my babies are perfectly fine, but its better safe than sorry x

My friend had spotting (she is having twins) in her pregnancy around 23-24 weeks, anyway she got checked out but all was absolutely fine. hope you're ok too x

yes get checked over. Im sure its all fine but not worth the risk! I had similar experience at 13 weeks but all fine and healthy. Wish u well and let us know u r all ok. X

Hi, i'm having twins and having lots of similar bleeding episodes which started at around 10 weeks. They are fine but doctors are monitoring so get it checked just to be on the safe side.

Bleeding is more common with twins so please try not to over-worry.

x

I called my GP and they told me to go straight to my hospitals Urgent Care unit .. they did the usual urine samples etc there and as I was there I spotted bright red blood, soo they have booked me in for a scan on Monday to double check everything and make sure everything is okay. Thanks for the advice :) x

Hiya I had the same yesterday and went to a/e and got scanned and everything is good. Best to get it all checked out x

Glad your getting a scan, with twins thats usually the proctocol as dopplers are difficult to figure out which is which. plus ive had a few times when no one can find the twin b! scary times lol, but he just likes hiding.

Good luck at the scan.

(Kinda long - summary at the bottom)
Hello there, as some of you girls know from a previous thread, I had some bleeding on Friday which resulted in a hospital trip! Well, last night I told FOB and my dad to go out for a couple of drinks as I was feeling okay (and I wanted the house to myself for a bit ) This was about half past 7 last night. At around 9pm I stood up to go to the toilet and a massive pain shot through my abdomen and I was struggling to stand up so practically collapsed onto my living room floor. Luckily I always have my phone at hand (addicted ) and managed to call my mum who rushed straight over to my house ... she rang the hospital and they told her to bring me in straight away. We drove to the pub and collected my dad and rushed straight to A and E at my local hospital. When I got there, they took some blood, measured my blood pressure etc and put an IV in the back of my hand to give any fluids, medicine etc that they needed to. A doctor came in and felt my tummy and decided it was best for me to be taken to another specialist hospital so they put me in the ambulance (sirens and all!) and sent me to another hospital a few miles away. My dad rang FOB on the way and he and his mum met us there. They took me into a room and told me everyone but one person had to wait in the waiting room, so I chose Jake (FOB) to stay ... they put a glass tube thing up me and swabbed the inside to test for infection (results come back in a week) and to see if my cervix was open or closed ... this hurt like a bitch! At about 5am the nurse came to ask how I was feeling and I told her I was still getting cramps and 'down there' was throbbing like mad and I thought I had passed more blood ... she checked my pad and the blood was quite thin and I had also started passing yellow discharge so they decided it was best I got some rest, I didn't want to stay in hospital by myself so they let me go home and get some sleep at home. I'm still booked in for an emergency scan tomorrow and will see if the twins are definitely okay but the doctor said so far everything looks fine. I have never been so scared in my life, I never knew I could love something I have never met before so much. My babies are my world already and I'm hoping and praying that they're both okay. FOB told me they'll be fine because ''they're fighters like their daddy'' .. I don't know what I'd do without him

Just thought I'd share with you girls as some of you wanted me to keep you updated, thanks for reading

SUMMARY (approx times) :-
7:30pm - dad left for pub (I wanted to be home alone)
9pm - I stood to go to the toilet and collapsed on my living room floor from the pain and lost a lot more blood
9pm - I rang my mum to come over
9:15pm - mum arrived and rang the hospital, they told her to take me in straight away
9:30pm - we arrived at hospital and they put me straight into a ward
10pm - blood pressure, temperature etc was taken
10:15pm - they took me into another ward
10:30pm - doctor arrived and told the nurse to put an IV in my hand and take bloods
11pm - the doctor returned and felt my tummy, he disappeared after this
11:30pm - the doctor came back and told me he had booked an ambulance for me to be taken to a specialist hospital a few miles away
12:30pm - the ambulance (sirens and all) took me to the other hospital where we were met by FOB and his mum
1pm - everyone but FOB got kicked out of my room and they did some more tests (put a glass thing up me and took some swabs, also checked if my cervix was open or closed) - it was closed (happy days)
5am - they told me I should just get some rest and they will do a scan tomorrow (Monday) as everything so far looks fine
5:30am - i didn't want to be on my own so they took out my IV but left my hospital band on (just incase I have to be readmitted) and let me go home

I dont know why you were transfered hospitals? that must have been really scary, but the tests are fairly normal, the same sort of things I had also, so try not to worry, things sounds fine. As long as your cervix is closed (which it is or they wouldnt have let you out) then you are ok. Good luck at your scan tomorrow x
