For those who dreamfeed:

1) Do you change LO's diaper?
2) Do you burp LO?

If yes to either of these, does your LO sleep through that? I'm afraid to try dreamfeeding because I'm afraid the burping or diaper change will wake her up. Thanks!

Hi hun I have this amazing book, its call save our sleep, this lady is the baby whisperer who lives in Australia.
Look one line she has a web address, (I'm typing in the dark with my LO feeding will have to post the web address for you sorry)

Help to you questions, she says when it comes to dream feeding, you start at 6 weeks of age, you put your LO to bed at 7pm then you go and would pick your LO up slowly (note at a set time every night 9.45pm) place your nipple/bottle tips in there mouth, and let them suck till hey total finished dreaming about feeding n fall asleep in a deep sleep( slowing placing them back in their bed) always dream feed outside their bed so they have a sense they are getting a proper feed hun, then when it comes to burping u slowly sit your LO up straight and the wind will come up on its own, they don't gulp when dream feeding cause they are still sleep/ very sleepy when dream feeding so there not a lot of wind, about changing nappy she says don't unless you have to so just feel or smell if its a wet or dirty one, once you start to dream feed at that set time every night your LO will soon start to forget the other feeds they would demands at night so making them sleep longer and longer each night try this for 12 days hun you will see a difference, by ten weeks once you have started the dream feeding and putting your LO down at 7pm she/he will soon wake up at 7am (but note make sure you only start dream feeding if your LO is a good weight over 3.5kgs so you making sure that she/he is getting all the feeding to grow)

Hope this helps you hun xxx

I've also heard that you only have to change it if its poopy... which is what we do when he wakes up at night (not often), but he's not prone to rashes anyway

Casskelly I would be very careful with the SOS book, tizzie hall can not back up her findings with any relevant evidence and she advocates using multiple blankets which are an overheating risk (eg 16 for a 4 month old!!) obviously trying to sell more of her own merchandise and overpriced bedding. She also uses CC and CIO to extremes and says that babies manipulate you by throwing up!!
Please use your own instinct when using that book as she wrote it before she had any kids of her own so there isn't much emotional understanding involved, mums know best not books xxx

No burping and no nappy change. We dream-fed lo for about 4mths and never needed to do either. Lo fed more slowly in her sleep so she didn't take in as much air. She would wake during the feed sometimes so we'f burp her if she was awake but still no nappy change. We only ever change a nappy at night if it's poopey!!

:flower:

No to nappy change - she never needs it anyway
No to burping too

I noticed an improvement in her sleep within 3 days of dreamfeeding, and would recommend it - but don't expect it to work first night (it might, but give it a few days).
