Two simple lines... now what?

I'm 17, and I found out I was pregnant yesterday. i took a cheap test at work because my period was late. I didn't think it was going to be positive it was just a precaution. And then right away those two pink lines showed up, and they were dark...

I fast tracked my college goals.. I'm starting in the fall to study culinary. My mom is a recovering alcoholic and barely has 200 days sober, and I'm so scared.

But my parents are going to be so upset, I'm probably not going to be able to finish school and the father does not want another child.

Ithink I'm going to tell my parents in two weeks, I'm going to tell them that this is my child, and if they can't accept that, then i will be happy to leave.

And I'm meeting with the father today, and I'm going to tell him the same thing, if he doesn't want anything to do with our baby, then that's fine. I'll get support from him one way or another, monetary or otherwise.

I feel so strong and confident, I don't understand why I'm not sad. i just feel... determined.

Congratulations and welcome sweetness. I fell pregnant at 17 also. It sounds like you have a very strong mindset about this whole situation. Your parents may surprise you, sometimes it takes a while but their going to be grandparents and you will probably find that in time they become completely supportive, especially if the father doesn't want to be a part of this beautiful little life you've created
I'm sure you know this, but you need to make a doctors appointment and they will be able to tell you what to do (medically) from there on xx
