LO is 11 weeks old, and has been breastfeeding for two weeks. Before that, he was on expressed milk in a bottle.

Since he started nursing, my supply seems to have increased a lot, I'm now getting quite painful letdowns, leaking a lot and getting engorged if he goes more than 2.5 hours between feeds.

I'm feeling really achy too, but don't have any lumps or bumps.

LO gulps and chokes a bit when feeding, but nappies are normal.

Does it sound like overactive letdown, and does it matter? He is gaining weight well, going up a bit. Was 50th Centile when born, and followed that while on EBM, but now is increasing a little bit.

I'm massaging when I'm achy, it doesn't feel like a blocked duct or anything, just overwork. Is that normal?

Sounds normal. Remember your boobs are still regulating to the new combined pumping and BFing schedule.

Even if you do have an over supply/active let down you can either express a little before you BF or try a different hold to help with the fast flow, like feeding him on top of you so gravity helps slow the flow.

:)
