and nothing. Its not like we're actively trying or anything but we're not preventing either. I find it weird that im 24 and not pregnant after 7 months of sex

Maybe im infertile? I was on the depo shot for 3 months and i just never went back.

Sorry, pointless thread but just needed to write it down x

dont worry i sometimes worry that.. my husband and i have been trying for about 5 months and i sometimes wonder if maybe we are infertile. But i didnt hear that it can take years, so dont jump to thinking your infertile just yet :) x

Are you getting a period? We've been ntnp for 4 months now and I haven't had a period since Oct, but I'm irregular, so who knows. I know what you mean, I keep wondering when I'll get my BFP.

:hugs:

:dust:

I have periods, but they are also irregular. I bled for 2 weeks straight last month and then spotted for one day last week?! its annoying

Yeah, unless I'm on BCP I'm super irregular. Hoping DH and I can get some insurance for hormone tests...

I was with a guy for 2 yrs when I was younger, and we used the pull out method. Now I never got preggo which I found suprising. Now with DD, I had been on depo, and it took a yr and a half of ntnp to get preggo.

Me and my fiance' have been NTNP (having unprotected) for 2 years (on the 25th), and I still haven't fell pregnant yet. Everyone keeps telling me it will happen, but to me I just get my hopes up EVERY month and am just waiting and hoping for it to happen SOON. So I wouldn't worry at all, it hasn't even been a year yet.. and it takes time to conceive from what i've heard. Everything has to happen at the right time! Good luck!

It takes couples who are trying an average of 12mths to conceive and they are usually using all manner of fertility gadgets and trickery . I honestly don't think you have anything to worry about :)

my DH and i have been having unprotected sex since october of 2007, actively TTC since december 2009, so you aren't the only one sweets. i've been to the FS and everything on me checks out fine so far, so just goes to show that it could all just be bad timing.

It probably doesn't mean anything. Things might just not be coordinating to result in a pregnancy. I have been off birth control since the end of August so it has been 5 months and looking back on my calendar of when we DTD and when my periods were (4 cycles), I realize that I likely only had sex on ovulation day once out of 4 times. If I even ovulated the first cycle or two, sometimes it takes a while for the body to restart! So even if I'm not far from you in months without protection, I'm not at all worried yet!

If you DTD very often (like every 2 days or more throughout the month) and get to 1 year without conceiving and decide to want to start trying for real, go to a fertility specialist right away to not lose time since at that point it would have been likely you'd be pregnant and they might have a good solution for you. But really, don't even worry about that until 1 year!

oh, i forgot to add i have never been on BCP and never conceived. i went to the fertility specialist at the end of last year to figure something out. DH is deployed so we aren't currently trying, but it's nice to be proactive. if you find an FS that is willing to work with you, i would do it. only because i am one of those people that likes to know off the bat. i would rather know everything is in working order or everything is not before i waste a year trying and the entire time something is wrong. but that is just me.

it took me and DH 2 months to conceive gryphon.

*ducks from everything be thrown at her*

i guess we are one of the lucky ones.

To the OP, try not to start worrying just yet. It took my DH and I 11 months after coming of BCP to conceive our first. With our second, we never put a goalie back in place and it took 22 months to conceive him. Just keep the faith that it will happen as I am sure that some day it will. :hugs:

Dont worry about it hun

I am the same age as you, endo says hormones are perfect. Took 11 months of unprotected to fall pregnant.

When I chart now I notice that I pretty much always miss my fertile period without even trying to!

It will happen for you hun :)

Thank you for your replies, I'm not really in a hurry but it would be nice. Just got AF today. Thanks for your advice, I'm not so worried now x

Same here been off BCP since March 2009 - was trying for a while but nothing so now NTNP.

It seems like forever until something is going to happen doesn't it! I'm with you on that one. My and OH havent been trying for as long but were just hoping its sometime soon.

Just a quick question.

I've not had my period this month but im not pregnant so how do i know when i'm meant to be due next??

Any help would be great thanks x

wow, it makes me feel better to read this from you. im in the same boat, except ive never been on birth control before. he was pulling out before and stopped in june. so now its been about 7 months completely unprotexted and nothing. my cycles used to be irregular (i would go months without one) and i was told i had pcos, but ive been regular now since 2008. the last 3 months we had sex everyday during what should have been my fertile time, i know that for sure. My cycle was 36 days, then 27 days the last two months. its normally 32 days (but its not unusual for me to have a 28 or 27 day cycle every few months). The 36 day cycle was odd though. Anywho, we always have sex like everyday except when im on my period (even then sometimes if its lite lol) and maybe a few days before my period cuz i usually dont feel up to it. we're like rabbits... and its frustrating that there hasnt been an oopsie baby. Especially since i seem to have friends who get knocked up left and right and some of them ARE using birth control... makes me want to scream! i wish my body would just cooperate. i bet if i was trying to be careful, i'd be pregnant by now lol...

hun plz dont worry !! depo stays in ya body for upto a yr !! as soon as i read the word depo i thought thats ya problem :), took 11mths of ttc after coming off the depo to get my bfp , that bfp is now 15mths old lol just takes more time after the injection im afraid ! good luck hun xxxxxxxx
