Ok so I read somewhere that if you are experiencing palpable uterine artery pulsations that you are pregnant. It is when you can feel the artery pumping. Is there any truth to this?
I feel that. it is below my stomach but above my bladder. It feels like a pumping something....but I can feel it without my hands. I am sitting here right now and it feels like there is a pumping vessel there.

This is a new one for me! Hope it's a good sign though!!

Me too - I would have thought something like that would come after the 2ww but I haven't got a clue really!!!

Hope it is a good sign and your :bfp: is coming very soon x

I've never heard of it but i hope it's true and a good sign for you.Good Luck!

oh and I can actually SEE it pumping. I need to get it the light and get a video.

This sounds really interesting if it's true! But isn't it just your own heart-beat which you can feel in various parts of your body, your wrist for example? It'd be cool if this is true tho!

Have done my customary 2-min research (sorry you will get used to this- i am a google addict and did a stint as a librarian once!!!! ) and found ta-da...

(important part in bold)

The objective of this study was to determine if palpable uterine artery pulsation is a reliable clinical indicator of pregnancy at less than six weeks' gestation. A preliminary, nonblind study involved 299 women. Of 31 women who were at less than six weeks' gestation, 24 had definite uterine artery pulsations, and 7 did not. Of 268 nonpregnant women, 256 did not have pulsation, while 12 did (P < .001). Because other clinical parameters could bias the interpretation of uterine artery pulsation, a second, blind study was undertaken. During it, 155 patients underwent bimanual examination only, and no other clinical information was available to the examiner. Of 25 women at less than six weeks' gestation, 19 had definite uterine artery pulsation, while 6 did not. Of 130 nonpregnant patients, 121 did not have uterine artery pulsation, while 9 did (P < .001). Palpable uterine artery pulsation seems to be associated with early pregnancy, and physicians should add evaluation of pulsation to their clinical armamentarium

Yay!!!! Good on ya gal! xxx

Here's the source of the info: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed..._DiscoveryPanel.Pubmed_Discovery_RA&linkpos=1

WOW! That is weird; I haven't heard of that before! Thanks for sharing the research magicvw!

Any chance you can actually get a vid done? It would be so cool to see it! I can't imagine what it looks like! xx

I tried to post on this thread last night but it crashed on me!!! So ATPB thank you for finding another symptom that us ttc-ers can spot - cos obviously we don't have enough symptoms to track in the tww lol!! And magic thanks for the research. This is incredibly cool!!

LoL....I am trying to get a video of this crazy thing. I am leaning back looking down at my belly. It is so wierd. As soon as I get a good video where you can see it I will SOOO post it.

OMG sounds weird!
The study did show people who weren't pg with it though so I don't know how reliable it is?
Good luck to you though!

Ok so no luck yet. lol....I just can't seem to get the lighting right. I am going to have to shine a light on my belly then do it. As soon as I am done with work today if it is doing it I will try to get someone's help with the video.

How do you differentiate between a normal arterial pulse and uterine one? Surely its present anyway , or is it supposed to be more noticeable in pregnancy?? Good luck with bfp anyway.
