Vday for me with threatened PTL

This week I hit 24 weeks- 24+2-3 now which is great for my baby! But I'm now officially stuck in hospital on bed rest foreeeeverrr coz I'm 4cm dilated. I had steroids and stuff yesterday, with more to come today. Party.

To cap things off, I'm in a out of area hospital far from family and baby's dad/my birth partner and like 2 hours from our private midwife as this was the last bed left in Sydney (otherwise would've been sent to te country 3 hours away ugh)! And will be spending my bday here, alone on Tuesday.

I hate this. I'm so bummed to give up the homebirth I've talked about for years and I just wish my asshole cervix would work! But at least I'm at a top hospital where they can save my baby now he's past viability. Hopefully he hangs in a few more weeks, though.

That's got to be rough, you poor love. I hope you have lots of books to read and films to watch. And fingers crossed that your lo stays in there a good while longer xx

Hi Angie, I know exactly what your going through, I went through it all last year at 24 weeks! Hang in there, I came in fully dialated and managed to keep the little guy in for 10 days so I'm sure you'll do much better! Try to keep your thoughts positive and your mind occupied! Best of luck hun!

Congrats on reaching V-day. Praying that your little one stays comfy for several weeks more! I am sorry that you'll spend your birthday on your own, hopefully your loved ones can help make it up to you on another day. Bed rest is difficult but so worth it, hang in there!!

Thanks everyone. xx luckily no labour signs so far and I'm now 24 1/2 weeks. If I can hang in til at least 26 weeks I'll be pleased.
