Very gassy baby...any advice?

My 6week old is very,very gassy. He would put a grown man on a diet of beans to shame!
He struggles to get out this gas,straining and groaning awfully. I've cut out 'gassy' foods from my diet. What else can I do?
It is interfering with his -and my- sleep a lot, since it makes him cry and wake up.

Not want you'll want to hear but evan was the same and we just had to ride it out. Everynight without fail around midnight the painful farts would begin. I did bicycle his legs to help him pass wind but he still cried with painful ones up until about 10 weeks x

hmm,no advice really, but cant u get wind drops? not sure what they're called tho...
