walked into my 4year old son room to fright of my life!!! *worried sick!*

still in emergency waiting room almost 3.5hours

If it nosebleed, the air may be too dry for your LO. I would get a humidifier

I hope he's okay. I had terrible nosebleeds as a child. Turned out my tonsils were infected. Once they were removed the nosebleeds stopped.

You're doing the right thing to get him checked. Better to be on the safe side :hugs:

I suffered terrible nosebleeds from the age of 7-19 (only just stopped past couple of years) and they would go on for ages with lots and lots of blood. I would go drs though to be sure.

:hugs: Let us know how you get on. I hope he's okay.

What a worry. Never worry about wasting their time. You are not a doctor and you are worried. Always get things checked out. I hope they have been able to reassure you.x

i got seen early hours this morning, they said they are unsure whats causing it all but they didn't believe it was going to kill him anytime soon. so we were given steriod and antibiotic creams for his nose to stop it bleeding and help prevent infection if it does. they said his iron and BP was low and they do not know what caused him to see things. they said it could have been anything and that if it happens again bring him right back in, to get referal to ear nose and throat doctor they said the nose bleeds are not normal and because the amount of blood he has been losing its not a good thing he doesn't eat much so his vitamin levels are pretty low at the best of times losing any blood for him is a big thing....

thank you all for your lovely kind words.

I am glad that you have some reassurance from the hospital and that they are following it up for you.

said there was little they could do sadly alot of the hospital has been closed due to cuts, so it would have taken days as an inpatient to get anything done pretty sad.

My God-you have had an awful two days:nope:

Just keep going to the doctor until you get action. Pester pester. Dont worry about what they think!

Maybe he was seeing things because he was in shock and frightened?

:hugs::hugs::hugs:

thanks hun maybe hopefully it wont happen again and it was a one off. they tried to put it on his mental health for half a second but i wouldn't let them my son might be aspergers but he's not got schizophrenia

Glad that you've had some reasurrance from them, hopefully they'll find out the problem :hugs: xx

not sure the hospital is reasurring anyone with the huge closures and job losses its a shame, really worries me that they said he would be dealt with quicker as an outpatient
