I'm new to the site but need some advice. I'm 18, been on HBC for 2 years and am currently on microgynon. I missed a pill 4/5 day after me and my OH had sex. I believe this is enough time for the sperm to be alive. AF was 5 days late and now I've been having severe cramps for 2 days. Started bleeding lightly yesterday and today it got heavy with irregular clots. Could this be a miscarriage ??i have not been TTC but a baby would not be unwelcome. I'm getting a test today, should I go to the emergency room ?

Also, the clots are deep red and have light pink and grey tissue. They are larger than usual for me

If it was 4/5 days after you had sex it'd be extremely unlikely you'd be pregnant because your body wouldn't automatically release an egg because you missed a pill it'd take a few days for an egg follicle to mature and release an egg.

What your experiencing is more likely to be a result of the missed pill and a hormone imbalance because of that. x
